No they aren’t it says ‘Seagate Expansion 500GB External USB 2.0 Desktop Hard Drive’ £22.20 with free delivery.

Seller - WikoDirect 82% positive from 34 ratings.
If they were an eBay seller I’d run a mile with that rating.

I recommend paying an extra 2 quid and getting the seagate 500gb USB3 drive from comet.
Well worth it, drive is very compact, stylish and its USB3!!!

the one that u bought is main powered while this deal is USB powered..

I posted the £23.10 deal for this portable 500gb hard drive from playtrade last nite.. and been removed coz the seller WilkoDirect got poor rating.. After around 30minutes the item is unavailable from the seller. The status is now 'packing' and hopefully they honoured the price.

The key is in the word 'desktop', not 'portable'

I guess you should cancel your order unless you want to be dissapointed.

Does this use a SINGLE USB connection? I know some drives have 2 USB connections for power.

#37
Good price, needed another one of these. Ordered!

Oh, and it'll work with Windows 7 no problem.
#38
Thanks OP, been after a good 'portable' (as in powered off USB and not mains for those that can't read) drive for a while. This fits the bill perfectly!

Ordered :D

Is it possible to stick this hard drive inside a PS3, if so, how easy would it be?

What about putting this into a netbook, I hear 500GB 2.5" hard drives are a little wider than a 160GB and may not fit into an Acer 521
