Beware the Seagate firmware issues!

I know its on the larger drives generally but it seems Seagate drive quality has gone down the pan over the last year or so

does this require power from a plug (mains) or just via laptop?

They usually come with a double USB plug, some devices require only one USB slot free but those that are not sending enough power to the USB slots will require both.

No mains power needed though either way.

Not voting on this one but considering the abuse someone got for posting a 500GB Iomega 3.5 inch drive the other day for £29.99 (got one, love it) you may do better with this Seagate portable which is a fiver more, though.

Yes it is....You could also rip the actual hard drive out of the shell and replace your internal PS3 hard drive with it as well.

compatible for the wii????

compatible for the wii????

Yes.

500GB is probably overkilll for the Wii though, but there is an absence for cheaper of lower capacity drives.
