10k rpm are probably double the price - not worth the money in my opinion unless you're running a Server.
#4
The 7200.10 is also 7200 rpm, so no need to spend £20 more if you're a home user only!
#5
Are these any good for inspiron 6000 and 640m??
Great deal if so!!
#6
Thanks for the pointer killie99 :) Added the delivered price in the title.
#7

Yup you need an IDE hard drive for an Xbox.

The seagate is 5 year warranty, western digital is 3 years. Remember to add on delivery at ebuyer which makes it more expensive.

There isn't actually much of a performance difference between SATA1 and SATA2. If you only have SATA1 onboard then a SATA2 drive will just default to SATA1.

It's seagates latest range of drives, they just keep incrementing the number ... so in 6 months time their new range will be 7200.11. I think the .10 drives use perpendicular recording

Free delivery is available on Ebuyer for ANY orders over £49.99:)

Thanks Killie99, The ST3500641AS in this offer from Dabs is the exact same one as originally fitted in my Dell Dimension 9200. It looks like I should be able to add a second one and get "matrix RAID". I'll let the forum know how I get on.
(It arrived quickly from Dabs, well packaged).
