Grr... now its been tagged as expired
Still on the site at £44.98, but I give up

(never post a deal on a friday night)

works for me - would heat it up if it hadn't been expired!! I'll report to the mods...
#11
Still in stock and works as listed using instructions. Good value but I'd rather stick another £11 and go for the .12 version that has rave reviews for data transfer.
#12
Well I followed the instructions and searched for 42L217 and got:-

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c62/pja77uk/42L217.jpg

Id rather have:-

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/164282 - for £57 delivered.

Havent expired - but cant vote hot for a deal I cant see.

Jesus wept. It really frustrates me when people post deals on here only to have them sniped at by people who can't follow simple instructions.

If you enter the code 42L2I7 you will get the product at £44.

If you enter the (wrong) code 42L217 then you will get the £109 product.

Can people not engage their brains before expiring deals?
#14
Lol at the people who don't know how to copy and paste so expired the deal
#15
great deal, thanks
#16
Meh you get what'cha pay for. Personelly I'd spend a few quids more and get a WD or Samsung drive. Decent enough price tho!
#17
paste 42L2I7 in the quicklinx box (not the Search box)

but actually £48.40 including delivery. So add something small. Over £49.99 delivery is free.

Got an email from Dabs detailing the drive at £44.98. If it helps those who're having problems entering the Quicklinx number here's the URL from the email:

To be fair to me I was looking at this after midnight on a friday night (and I didnt expire it ;))

Very annoying though how an l instead of a 1 showed the exact same product for more than twice the amount, especially as now this morning if you use the 42L217 code it gives you the £44.98 price.

However I still don't think its that hot a deal when you can get a 1TB drive delivered for about £8 more.

Also why couldn't the OP just have put the second l as L to save this confusion lol

I originally expired the deal as the OP only had the link to the £109 price, they edited their post about 30 mins later to include the instructions for the quicklink code

I have a pair of 500Gb 7200.10 fitted to my Dell. They've been fine for past 14 months and not to be confused with the iffy 7200.11s. There is more head seeking type noise though when compared to the pair of near silent WD 500Gb fitted to another Dell bought around the same time.

upgrade the firmware if needed & they are fine.

Looks like £48.40 with delivery?

Wasn't eBuyer doing Samsung F1 1TB drives for ~£50 not so long ago?

Edit: Sorry, they were the 1Tb Hitachi drives: EXPIRED - Hitachi DeskStar 1TB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 16MB Cache OEM - Now just £49.97 @ Ebuyer (Free delivery £50+), & these are now £52.89 on Scan/todayonly using the free delivery option. Granted, not the same brand, but only £4-5 extra for 250Gb more get's my vote

As far as I'm aware they have never been that low and are currently £61.14 with Ebuyer so kind of irrelevant.

I've been using Seagate drives for years and never had a failure. I can't say the same of the WD drives I've had.

Are you for real?

I saw it the minute it was posted and it worked fine.

If buying a 750GB would get the new 7200.12 model for £10 extra.
