"Backup Plus Ultra Slim is one of Seagate’s thinnest portable drives. At 9.6 mm thin, storage space is not sacrificed with up to 2TB capacity. Bring your most important files and head out the door.

Available in eye-catching gold and platinum colours - style meets storage - and easily slips into your backpack along with all your other essentials. With Ultra Slim, your digital life has never had so much room to expand into."

Lightening deal so it's limited!

Not sure if there's delivery fee for non prime.

Also 1TB for £45.49

Oddly this deal isn't in my lightning deals in my Mac web browser, but it is in my phone app. In fact it's a completely different selection of lightening deals in the phone app. Never noticed this before.
If I was in the market for a drive I'd be tempted, but I stocked up on portables when the prices were much lower. Still got a few i haven't cracked open yet.

Don't trust Seagate after my hard drive developed the infamous click of death within a week. Luckily, it was virtually empty so I didn't lose much.

It was a 3.5" but avoided anything Seagate since. I stocked up on the 2tb Toshiba portables when they were around £30 with bespoke offers + TCB/Quidco. Not had one failed yet.

Looking at one of the reviews for this portable, it appears its the USB controller that failed, not the drive itself.

"UPDATE: I took this drive apart carefully and took the Samsung branded HDD out, then connected it to my mac and pc using a USB 3.0 TO SATA adapter like this one and voila, it works flawlessly. The cheaply made USB controller in the casing is the part that fails easily. It seems Seagate want us thinking that we have lost our data so we pay for their £450 data recovery service"

Won't even need to open it up soon.

With the 4.50 update, you can install games to external drives.

Unlike a dating website profile this is as slim in real life as in the online photograph. Heat.

are they slim drives my xbox one internal drive sounds knackered so need to replace

This should have a Seagate drive inside as it's an Ultra Slim, it's thin because it will be one of their SMR drive's, I have a 2TB firecuda in my PS4 Pro also SMR and it's only 7mm thick.

Expect slower write times with SMR drives.
