Cold. Samsung F1 1TB drives are priced in the £85 region, and perform around 12-18% faster than these drives. Samsung also have the advantage of not making their harddrives in the old Maxtor factories, which means that there's considerably less chance of getting a noisy dud that fails within a few months, as Maxtors were, and Seagates now are, prone to do. One to skip, I say.

Can you provide a link to where you can get the Sammy F1s for £85 incl del? Best I've seen is £95. Seagates have always been great for me, though I mainly use the NS models.

Scan have the Sammy on their "Today Only" page from time to time - think it was around £85 on there sometime last week.
