Having a drive this size would worry me.

It's an awful lot of data to lose if it fails. :?

Ah the 7p per gig barrier. I have become a little obsessed with this, its almost impossible to find a GB for less than that. Seriously try it.

At this size, they should start selling drives in pairs

At this size it may be wise to look at a pair of 1TB in a mirror or maybe a RAID5 set of three, you may lose space but you'll gain piece of mind.

Another option is to only use it as backup drive.
