    inb4 1 year warranty moaners.

I bought this HDD from eBuyer a couple of weeks ago. Failed on me Tuesday night. Pretty disappointed, currently waiting for them to email me back! Hopefully my replacement doesn't suffer the same fate as I'm actually a really big fan of Seagate!

And I'm not gonna moan about the 1 year warranty, but it shows that they clearly don't believe in their product as strongly as other large companies do. Western Digital for example. They're still offering 3-5 years!

thing is though as NizTizzle has said it doesn't say much about Seagate's confidence in this drive when they wont give more than a 1 year guarantee. And since his has failed on him already id keep well clear of these drives even though their £/GB ratio are pretty damn good id be always wary of it failing at anytime. And i own multiple Seagate drives mostly external ones but mine are older drives that have lasted so far.

Just as well. The last Seagate HD I had needed a really big fan!

Seagate's lost all confidence in the consumer market.

Nice HD with those specs at that price.

Maybe those suffering loss don't monitor their drive temps?
Probably many apps to do this, I like CrystalDiskInfo, but I find my recent big Seagate drives run uncomfortably hot without adequate cooling, I am happy when they stay under 35°C.

Cold. Poor reliability. Had 3 of these die in my server in the space of 6 months after purchase. :|
