Hi Ii'm a newbie here this is my first post got myself a 750gb hard drive over bank holiday but offers finished. My brothers now after one & this is the cheapest i've found.

I'm wondering This one or one of the samsungs that seem to be appearing on here every other day.
it will be in a q6600 machine ..Don't know if that would make a difference

You could go for the extra cache available in Samsung/other Seagates- this one has 8Mb whilst 32Mb is quite common now. The chances are though that you would not notice the difference. And Seagates have a five year warranty against Samsung's three. Buy!

samsungs f1 drive is by far the better of the two, beats raptors in a lot of benchmarks.. i bought one from scan for £57 last week. thats why i voted cold.
