Awesome price, some nasty reviews though :(
Wow...that's a load of one star reviews. Won't be touching this one.
oh dear, appears these drives suffer from the CLICK OF DEATH just like Iomega Zip drives did back in the 90's yes the 90's. i'd check out the reviews on wikipedia & PCPro & amazon before buying.

personally id prefer an external hard drive with a fan to keep the airflow circulating
do not touch with a bargepole.... i had 5 of these fail wuthin minutes of them turning on
Price is good, but the reviews aren't
yeah got to agree with above. good price but just be extra cautious for those who wanna buy it. got one failed myself within few weeks of use
Yep same here to - started clicking within minutes of switch on. I just managed to get all my data back off and then the drive failed.
Been using Seagate drives for years, never had a failure.

You have to remember that most people who buy items will not bother posting good reviews if they are happy with an item, BUT anyone with negative comments is more likely to post, so this is why you have a high percentage of negative comments.

I often buy things from likes of Amazon, Play and Argos, and always get an email to ask me to leave feedback. I usually delete them. But imagine I had bought a dodgy PC, kettle, toaster, washing machine or hard drive and it gave me bother. Would I not be so mad that I would be more than happy to have a good moan and leave a bad review? Of course I would.

HDDs have an incredibly low failure rate. I would say 99% of drives work perfectly well. Looking at some of these reviews you'd think you have a 50/50 chance of it breaking down.
