I bought one of these about 6 months ago and it's been a great piece of kit, no problems at all. I've not noticed any additional partition on it, but if there is then you can easily remove it. Paid £55 from tesco iirc.

Dixons would be better option with more quidco cash back . ?

When you see 2.5 & 3.5 etc... does that relate to the size of the devicE?

Why do people always post a 3.5" when somebody posts a 2.5" portable?

This one is a usb powered hard drive yours requires a mains adapter two totally different machines. People seeing your post could order a piece of kit from Play that isn't equivalent to this listing. :(
#13
brilliant deal
#14
Can't see where it says it's a 2.5 on dixons site. The drive looks like the 3.5.
#15
Is this okay for PS3?
#16

Can't see where it says it's a 2.5 on dixons site. The drive looks like the 3.5.

They call the the 3.5inch drive a "external desktop" and the 2.5 a "external portable" drive, the dimensions given also indicate a small enclosure as well as the lack of ac power adapter.
#20
anyone know if this would work with a panny g20 plasma ?
Also,is it easy to format to FAT32 ?

THANKS

most portable drives are found tobe fat32 as standard to avoid compatibility issue alot of people buy for different products such as mac, ps3, media players etc etc, its once you plug into windows PC it prompts you to fotmat as NTFS.

Make your own for the same price or cheaper, with a better drive, and enclosure from Amazon (the faster drive could be used in PS3 or laptop at a later date, or now and put the old one in enclosure)
