Because they are directly comparable? Both are name brand external Hard Drives, and only difference is the capacity, so there is no reason to choose a 750GB Seagate if a 1TB WD is the same price.

Other way around Seagate is a better brand then WD, but it's all relative people will argue for and against either brand. So it mostly comes down to personal preference/expereince.
