Just picked up one of these from PC World.
WIth 5 years warranty I think it's a much better deal than the WD drives.
Had about 3 left on the shelves, shown as sold out on the website @ 79.99 so IN STORE ONLY.

Bare in mind that the Mac versions have the FW400/800 connector and were more expensive than the USB versions.

Very good deal. The cheapest you could get these a few months ago when I got mine was between £120 and £130. Very good drives, with both USB and Firewire, which is useful (and not to mention fast).

voted cold 1tb hitachi neso mac compatiable £79.99 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ultra-Speed-External-eSATA-Drive/dp/B002C4KX4U/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1252796537&sr=8-4 costs a few pennies more but this has esata and usb2 connection, esata is much faster than usb and firewire. 3 year warranty isnt as good as 5 but should be enough for most users. more info about the drive http://www.mymemory.co.uk/External-Hard-Drives/Neso/Neso-3.5INCH-1TB-eSATA-External-Hard-Drive. I submitted the neso drive over a month ago http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/455778/1tb-neso-hard-drive-by-hitachi-exte/

Too quick to vote cold. First of all, the Hitachi Neso has no Firewire, so is useless for any current Mac apart from the 17" Mac Book Pro or possibly the Mac Pro as the others have only Firewire and USB ports and no facility to add eSATA since they have no PCI Express slots. Secondly, the Buffalo only has FW400, not the faster FW800, whose inclusion does bump up the price somewhat on external drives.

where doesw it say it is fw400?
nvm found it http://www.buffalo-technology.com/products/external-drives/drivestation/hd-ceiu2-drivestation-combo-with-turbousb/ well to be fair it did not say on digital fusion it was firewire 400. This seagate drive is not on the pcworld website, if it was it must of been clearance item.
