I've got this about a year ago, although it was the 750gb and its broken twice since having it... seagate have replaced it both times within a couple of weeks, but its just a pain to have to keep replacing it.
i would suggest getting somthing a little more rugged. not voting as its a cheap deal for the drive, but i wouldnt suggest anyone get it.

Ive got the Esata version not had any problems with mine
