Link to item is actually:

http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/555962/art/seagate/freeagent-desktop-externa.html

And you forgot to include shipping in the price, another £7.50.

Try that pic ?? LOL

Why so cold - I know there were some problems with the post but it seems a good price including the delivery. These work well if you want a vertical orientation.

Probably because pixmania are the worst internet firm to deal with. Avoid!

Amen to that! Avoid as plague!

It works to be £63.49 including delivery after you use a 6% off code found on here.
Sounds like a good deal for 500gb?

I can't stress this enough, avoid Pixmania like the plague, no customer services, months to ship item, no warranty as they're grey market goods, basically if it breaks or turns up broken you've just wasted your money.

Customer service is not based on getting something that is OK, it is what happens when you have a problem and have to return it. I hope you never have a problem.

Thanks for the tip off on Pixmania. I love ebuyer.com and play.com, but apparently ebuyer.com used to have dreadful customer service. Whoever has turned the customer service depatment around, has turned the whole business around.

Hope Pixmania and savacentre learn from this example. (but I wont hold my breath >< )

I ordered a DVD player from them a few months ago, had no problem wat so ever.

Seems like a great deal for the external HD.

I repeat, "Customer service is not based on getting something that is OK, it is what happens when you have a problem and have to return it. I hope you never have a problem."

Taking over 8 weeks to arrange return of a faulty LCD TV is not good customer service.

#17
great price but SHOCKING service. rated cold..

I just placed an order, I reckon with 3% quidco on £63.49 = £1.9047, and 5% cashback from AMEX Platinum card, £3.1745, the net price is £58.04, the cheapest i can find for months.

No, you can't.

Have you seen their feedback on Amazon......89% positive.. very poor for an Amazon seller. The ONLY thing Pixmania have going for them is price. Read the buyers feedback on Amazon BEFORE thinking about buying from them

Is the product any good?

Product's rather excellent. You'd be better off getting the internal version if you want a drive that performs faster and doesn't take up any extra deskspace or power sockets, but if you're looking for an external drive, Seagate's are pretty much the ones to go for. Other external drive sellers, like Lacie and Iomega, don't make their own harddrives, and instead just pick up the ones that they can source cheapest. Seagate use their own drives, and make quality kit.

You've got to buy this elsewhere, though. Pixmainia are not a company to be trusted. The typical complaint is that they list products as being in stock that aren't, charge anyway, don't send out, and take weeks of hassle to issue a refund, and they've pulled this trick on far too many people. They can't be relied upon. Worse still, they're French.
