This is also on Maplin website for £79.99 with free delivery.

    Maplin Site

TCB offer 7% for Maplin online purchases which could also save you £5.

Vouchers will not work though because the drive is already a special deal.

Surprising that Maplin have a competitive price on this. They're usually much more expensive.

Not by same shop, but same price. And free delivery from maplin. No advantage i can see going for this deal?

people really should stop putting up with these prices, and certainly shouldn't be calling them "bargains" or "hot".

seagate have already admitted the price hikes after the floods were unnecessary. 2tb usb2/esata a few months back cost £50-55

You are absolutely right, BUT please find another 2TB external hard drive (and these are easyish to disassemble to use internally too) for Less than £80 and post here.

Market conditions mean prices fluctuate, something may of been cheaper in the past and those lucky enough to get them then are the Money Savers, but for those unfortunate to not get them, this, right now is a hot deal.

A cheaper price previously does not exclude it as a deal if found months later for a higher price (and still 20%ish under current prices).

Seems a stonking deal; only the Seagate name puts me off. I've had two clicky Seagate externals, and there are some bad reviews on Amazon. Each the their own.

This is actually £75.50 when you use the promo code "ABER5".

    Ordered one!

My dads just collected his and got USB3.0 for the same price so looks like just like Maplins they have updated HDDs too in the bunch. Annoying as when I grabbed 2 from Maplins I got 1 USB3 and 1 USB2. Oh well I only have USB2 at the moment so can live with that or you can upgrade the interface on the drive too.

Has this expired? - it comes up at £99.99 (even though there is a a link on their page for one for £79.50)
