Is this happening? Nothing on the website about it.
It's not worth spending any penny on it, even kids will find it boring
I personally find Sea life not worth the money (Experience from Birmingham).
Cruel, depressing places. Watch Blackfish http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2545118/

The fish counter in Asda is free.
And, when the kids get bored of it, you can take them to see the vegetables.

Kids actually find the fish counter more interesting lol

You should not put fish in them though, small surface area which starves fish of oxygen, and the filtration system is poor.
They call these "buy and flush".

starves the fish of oxygen..........
Bought this model 3 years ago for £90. Filter is poor, it cannot house more than one 'large' fish. Currently sits in my kitchen as an overpriced lamp. Cold deal.
loads in at trafford centre. Not sure on the product though as 15l is't great. Anybody have any experience with these?
Terrible tanks, surprised they sell them to be honest.

Every visit you make to Blackpool
needs a very full wallet.
should be paying you to go to blackpool !
Isn't this the normal online price though?
So basically, a child's ticket includes entry to the dungeon and the ballroom and adults have technically paid to get into some kids indoor playground?!?! Good price for 7 attractions but should be tailored to suit the age of the ticket holder.

Oh great ...... Because they don't earn enough to pay ?

Troll or Moron? Can't decide.

Why because I've spoken the truth ? You obviously are a Teacher.

Am a teacher myself and this is a lovely gesture. We rarely get offers like this and it may be worth actually considering teachers pay compared to other professions before commenting further.
. . . like the support staff if schools they are normally only paid part time and term time unlike salaried teachers who are paid all year round? Is that what you mean?

I agree that support staff are crucial and are often underpaid considering all off the work that they do. They are often underappreciated and taken for granted.

Administrative work isn't considered to be as highly skilled as teaching so therefore they aren't paid a premium and are on completely different contracts.

Good point yellowfirend!
And escort boy- Is that what you took from that? Just the strike comment? Sorry no your right it was about workload, pay and pensions. (2 factors which are striking for financial gain) so sorry 2 out of 3 striking reasons.

Do you guys not get enough pay?

23-28k is a good wage.

Pay is an issue, conditions are an issue also, there are masses of other issues though which are disadvantaging students and the education system as a whole. As I've said before you don't live in the world of education and you really don't know the situation. The BBC and other media doesn't properly inform the public about anything. It's all misinformation and one-sidedness that the public blindly believes is gospel. You clearly are resolute in your opinions that you've formed. Unfortunately teachers aren't going to just give up and accept the current situation to suit people with opinions such as yours.

The strike aspect of your argument I chose because it was so wrong.

You clearly believe that teachers aren't specialists, and even if they are, they should be happy with minimum wage. If there was minimum wage you wouldn't have the amount, or quality of educators in schools. There is currently a shortage of teachers even at the current salary levels...

I'm sorry that you have no protection in your career and are treated unethically but taking it out on teachers isn't the answer.

Michael Gove was removed as Education Secretary because he has caused so much damage to education and was hemorrhaging votes for David Cameron.

You say 23k is a good wage but it's all relative. 23k is great for a burger chef in McDonald's but not a barrister.

Well no offence but teachers aren't quite on the same level as a barrister ha. No I don't believe Teachers are specialists. They do great things for kids and work hard, but no not specialists, specialists in the subject they teach yes, but not as a profession. Which is good as its attainable for those wanting to go into that role, just need a degree in absolutely anything then a PGCE and your ready.

Well if you think 25k + is minimum wage then you need to get out more - I know this has been calculated by integrating the additional hours - but even if you do double your hours, its still more than some annual salaries for other hard working jobs.

You also said "Administrative work isn't considered to be as highly skilled as teaching so therefore they aren't paid a premium and are on completely different contracts." So at least you do realise the fact that you get "paid a premium".

The conditions need serious reviewing, but the pay and pensions definitely do not. Its like there's a blindness to the struggle of everybody else in this country, the employment, the low wages and financial struggle of hard working people. Because your a teacher that makes you somewhat better and more deserving of others. Well, no your not.

I'm to bow out gracefully of the discussion, I wish you well in getting teachers pay and conditions down to what you feel is acceptable and throwing out anyone that dares to complain.

Thanks for conceding that the conditions need to improve, that's the main thing that I want changed so that children get a better education and initiative after initiative isn't thrust upon us and the kids with barely 5 minutes notice.

It's been nice talking with you. :)

Good deal, heat added.
Although it was hardly a day out when I took my four year old. He bombed it through everything (pausing only at the 4D cinema) in about 25 minutes! The attention span of kids today, eh...............
This looks brilliant, my children had been to the sealife on several occasions, this looks like it will be more popular, though I have to say it can be expensive, without vouchers. I joined a website can't recall exactly and they send out vouchers that can be printed with good prices.

I recently took a group of preschool children to the centre at southend, they loved it, it was small and didn't take long to get around but we were able to go back in after we went out for lunch and the staff member who gave the rock pool talk was fantastic - he made the children AND teachers all act out being crabs and starfish. Definitely going back (especially as its free).
Been to Birmingham today - can't argue with a freebie but I was shocked at the costs to get in normally - £60 for a family of 4!!

Took us about 45 minutes to walk through (after 45 minutes in the queue) and I thought it was distinctly average frankly apart from the sharks and turtles in the glass tunnel.

... also overrun with hyperactive children and desperate looking parents!
Can college teachers claim this?
I've been to 2 seaside centres. Both times with half price tickets and that was far to much. They are pants. Very little to do or see. Takes about 1hr to see everything if you take your time.
Are there any deals for children you can use with this offer? Or can a child use one of the adult tickets?
