According to details elsewhere on the web, this mattress only has 60mm of foam topping of which 20mm is memory foam and 40mm is "normal" foam

Also other suppliers price this at about £240 with a rrp of £585

It also has springs I believe.... ???

Yes, but I understood that 75-80mm memory foam was a minimum - not 20mm

Yeah, a cage spring though.

It isn't exciting me :-(

The mattress incorporates a generous layer of Sealy's specially formulated "memory foam" which moulds to your body shape to provide excellent support and spinal alignment. This mattress has the added benefit of "Coolmax" fabric which takes perspiration and excess heat away from your body, helping you stay at a comfortable temperature throughout the night. For added convenience this non-turn mattress only requires end-to-end rotation. Features Sealy's unique posturetech ultra inner spring system that provides edge-to-edge support and optimum spinal alignment. Supported by Sealy's unique torsion 3000 sprung divan base for enhanced comfort and support plus extending mattress life by up to 25%.
#21
Hot, but that RRP is absolutely ridiculous.

A quick search shows it for £249.99
#22
thanks great find ordered one and obtainedconfirmation number. Thanks again:):):)
#23
is this any good though, i.e anyone bought one before?

Yes, but I understood that 75-80mm memory foam was a minimum - not 20mm

That's the way I read it too.

It is a basic style cage sprung mattress, with a smear of memory foam on the top :-(

I think people are getting a bit carried away after seeing the RRP which is very "creative" to say the least.
OK. it sounds like a reasonable enough mattress for the price, but it isn't an expensive mattress on the cheap, it is a mattress for just about the right sort of money for the build.
#25
Looks like its not anti allergy and only cage sprung not pocket sprung. Not a bad deal but not overly brilliant either. Better ones out there if you can get them, but obviously a little more on the price.

Hey for what it is though its reasonable.

One thing wrong here... unless you have that Divan base, then it won't!

Most people in the market for buying separate mattresses usually have platform bases or slatted types, and in any case odds on you wont have the exact 3000 spring divan model!

From www.mattressman.co.uk where it is £239 delivered ....

"23cm Deep Posturepedic Mattress.
40mm Soft Foam
20mm Memory Foam
Luxury firmer comfort feel.
'Micro-Quilt' 'no turn' mattress.
Generous layers of quality upholstery including memory foam.
'PostureTech Ultra' mattress spring unit.
1 Year Manufacturer Guarantee.
This proven best seller from Sealy and for Mattressman, the Posturepedic Memory Support combines a 60mm layer of memory foam and soft foam with Sealy's unique posturepedic spring system to offer a winning combination of support and comfort for your spine. The memory foam density is 55/65kgm which is a high grade memory foam along with being hypoallergenic and with Mattressman's buying power benefit further with all the above at an unbeatable price. This mattress would make a fantastic addition to a wide range of frames and divan bases we have available on our website.

Please note as this is a memory foam mattress, you may expect a slight odour within the first week of use. This is due to the fire retardant spray used on the memory foam."

I think it's delivered direct from manufacturer. :)
#32
Most high st. chains do that with mattresses i think. I got one from Homebase/Argos and that came manf. direct.
#33
I got charged £5 for delivery?
Its from the manuf, but I didn't see an option to do anything other than go through with the charge.
Anyone else?
#34
Excellent! Great price for a decent mattress. Ordered one (£5.00 delivery charge)
Heat & rep added. Thanks
#35
Thanks ordered one too. its about 40% less than the normal price, but its still a good price. The £500+ is a joke, but try and find something as good for the price. You can't.
