Brilliant offer,

If only Lincoln City would do the same. I'm convinced it's the only way forward for the smaller clubs.

How much are they usually?

Could be as much as £315 less if certain targets are hit. If there are already 2000 ticket holders you should all buy two seats

Fantastic offer, even better as you get six games (worth 120 quid) if you decide not to purchase a season ticket if the price rises due to lack of interest
#10
If only Liverpool football club would do the same! Away tickets in London are £55 upwards!

You'd have to pay me £100 to watch that shower of sh1te X)

There's always one...

This is a great deal for people in the region. Wish Mr Bates would do something similar. My renewal this season was £550, and that was a special price for early renewal! It will be well over £600 for new applicants.

good offer and idea....but £415 for league 2 is a joke, makes my reading fc season ticket seem cheap @ £375

eventually this greed will kill football.......in Reading's first season, i boycotted chelsea away as i didnt want to pay to watch the lucky sc***y divers and the way they treated my club over the hunt/chec incident was a joke (i have rarely bought a newspaper since)....last straw was £48 for a ticket (and that was 5 years ago!)....i watched it in my parents in law bar in clapham with 50 chelsea....and me....i outsang the glory hunters!!

Good luck to the little guys.

I seen Hartlepool play MK Dons a few years ago to keep me sober and out of the pubs of Newcastle :)

Outstanding offer from the club and a wonderful gesture. I'll be purchasing my first ever season ticket this time round, what a time to do it!

What happens if they don't sell 4000 tickets are you obliged to buy the season ticket at the higher price... Kippers and stitched up spring to mind...

Mick Wadsworth has hailed the arrival of Pools' innovative Season Ticket drive and backed it to be a big success with people right across the town.

The First Team Coach is thrilled that the Club are taking a proactive approach to entice more fans to Victoria Park and has reiterated his desire to drive things forward.

"I think it's a terrific initiative, in to which it's clear a lot of thought has gone," he told Pools Player.
Article continues

"It's a creative idea put together by people who are desperate for us to improve things right across the Club so I think it's a fantastic scheme.

"We've made great strides this season and the signs are there that the Club is moving forward again, and we all want to be part of that.

"I want us to get better though, and it will get better if we can get more people in the ground to intensify the atmosphere that is already great at The Vic.

"We're a family club, a community club, one of great tradition, and anything we can do to help more fans - particularly the younger generation - to get to games will be fantastic.

"We've put out the bait and let's hope we get lots of bites and the initiative proves a big success."

no if only 3500 take up offer the price goes to £150 but if you dont want to pay the extra £50 then for your £100 you will get tickets for the first 6 games of the season saving you up to £20 on pay on the day prices.

So it's a good deal, as long as enough people take it up, otherwise it's pretty **** in comparison!

This is a really impressive offer - less than a fiver per home game is incredible and if more lower league clubs did things like this to drive attendance, I'm sure you'd see a big improvement on the pitch too. Hopefully enough people will take it up.

I used to watch Stockport County all the time when I was younger, they used to run quite regular promotions for young people and it cost me next to nothing - it was always a good day out with my friends.

I think the Poolies will go for this in droves. I didnt bother last season at all because of the price mainly - I will have a go at this price though for definite. Pools normally get 3,500 thru the turnstiles at full price, so I think they can hit 4,000 easy.

Having read all your comments I have come to the conclusion that you're a prat. anyone (but you) disagree?

good offer from a local club. support the small clubs - they're essential to local communities.

Lol!

This is a superb offer, I really hope 4000 folk take it up and get behind their local team. If I lived anywhere near I'd be in.

I didn't buy a season ticket last year for the first time in a decade because my team wanted £240 for the THIRD tier of Scottish Football. It was cheaper at Blackburn Rovers!
