I've signed on the dotted line so I thought I'd share the love here in case anybody else is interested.

I had a Seat Ibiza as a hire car recently and they are pretty good.

5k miles may need to be tweaked.

Test drove a Leon with this engine - decent drive, have to say albeit bigger than the Ibiza.

Have some heat, its a well specced car for the money.

It's a fiver extra for 8,000 or a tenner for 10,000

Great deal then and can't understand the cold votes?
Maybe too many have been on the Valentines Prosecco?
£36 per week or so to run a new car?

Not really to "run" the car. That money just gets the car to your drive way. To "run" the car you have to insure it, service it and fill it with fuel. Just saying.... there's a difference between paying to have it in your possession and then actually running it. Seems like a reasonable lease deal though if you wanted a Ibiza

Seems a good deal to me, not bad with a slightly higher mileage either. I'd be interested to know what better deals there are for something similar from those voting cold?

Whoa. That's weird - 3587 is my PIN number on my credit cards. This must be the deal for me!

Very good deal you can tweak it

So I am looking at 8000 miles for £146 with £440 upfront bargain

Would it not be better at 1 + 23 rates, 24 x £149.45 = £3,586.80, why pay over a thousand upfront.?

Fair point. I guess if you were worried about qualifying for finance as it's less being loaned

Did you get a delivery date on this OP?.. Very tempted on this, thanks for posting

Nothing more concrete than "March". I was under the impression they were in stock, but then I was told they're waiting for them to come into stock. Reading between the lines, the car exists - not a factory order - but it's not sat on the showroom floor.

My last lease was a stock order and it took about 3 weeks or so (finance has to be released to the supplier, car has to go from the holding place to a dealer, get cleaned up and inspected for delivery, then delivered).

Thanks for your reply, this is my first dip of toes in to car leasing so unsure about every aspect to be honest and not really sure what to expect. I'm not worried about having to wait as our current car is fine. Looking forward to learning about leasing! Cheers

Yep Monsoon grey, Mrs ended up choosing that whilst I wasn't here, added another £5 a month, cheers wifey!

Anybody have any experience of returning a car earlier than the agreed contract length?
e.g. six months before the end?

Contract says 50% of remaining rentals. I've done it before.

I am currently in the last 6 months of a deal and they keep calling us to try to get us to sign up to a new contract, they seem to have good deals if you are staying with them for your next car.

Had mine a couple of months now, generally very pleased (apart from a couple of minor scratches that it was delivered with!)

They let me off the extra £5 because they didn't have any non-metallic options i.e. you couldn't possibly get the price on the website.

Tip - get the Carista app and a cheap Bluetooth OBD2 receiver. You can change options like having the mirrors fold when you lock up, having the parking lights on as DRLs, opening the windows from your remote control etc.
