Don't vote this hot. They recently added 70p to the price and used the excuse that they charge the booking fee. It's only a few years ago that it was the pound club.

It's still at least 70% off what I've paid just a few months ago. It's a massive saving, especially if you take three+ kids.
And yes, I remember when they used to cost only £1 but I remember getting my first one bedroom flat for £7,000.
Get your kids into the time machine and get them watch the same old movies for the rest of their life if you want to, I'm taking mine to the pictures this weekend.

great response, its because people don't make a stand that companies take advantage of you. Yes take them but don't vote the deal hot as companies check sites like this, Cineworld head office even told me they did. You cant compare the high new release prices to M4J, which have been out for months and sometimes as long ago as a year prices they should by that nature be much cheaper. Just look at Vue something like £1.50 a film and Odeon which generally is the same price as Cineworld, has the same films for a £1 in many of their cinema.

I have posted many of these deals over the years but out of principle I won't add any more, 70p increase is ridiculous and blaming it on a booking fee which in their scheme of things is pennies is just as ridiculous.

This was never a time machine comment, it was a principle one. If you are happy to pay the extra vote this hot but don't use the time machine as a way of backing up your comment when it was just showing how prices have changed in a matter of years. have a look at the prices of normal films they haven't gone up 150% in that time.

I would love to take them to Vue but the closest one is over 30 miles. We still can go to Odeon instead of Cineworld but having a higher van than Odeon's underground garage means I have to pay for the parking or go to Cineworld where I can park the van easily. It's simply horses for courses and I believe we already had this conversation about one year ago when the price in Cineworld went up.
I know I'm paying a bit more to Cineworld than Odeon and I don't like it but until we move elsewhere I'll have to take the kids to Cineworld because it's the best option for my wallet.
Apologies eslick for the time machine comment but we all have to get used to the price increases everywhere. I'm also pretty sure Cineworld is still loosing money on the Juniors movies as the attendance (compare to new releases for the full price) is almost zero. Last time we went there was about 20 kids including us.
