The code is not working for me
All gone.
Bit harsh to vote it cold, as it's not really the OP's fault that the tickets have gone so quickly. They seem to be releasing a very small amount of tickets on the codes for this one, as the one I posted yesterday lasted all of 10 minutes as well.
Thats a pity, I must have got the last two for Glasgow.

And it's always really short notice. Annoying!
generally see film first is an excellent source for screening of movies but when they issue tickets for theater productions i must admit i am always skeptical myself
I fell asleep at a previous showing so the play wasn't very engaging for me!
i am a member of seeFilm and i am always getting emails saying they have free tickets, i think it must be crap.
this post is only for london an it starts in 30 minutes just got emailed now so not much time to make a descision i am afraid.

'Let the Right One In' was its name. I watched it too. Wouldn't ever have thought it would be remade for English, it wasn't anything special.

Are you kidding? It was a completely different take on the vampire genre. It took the view away from these pathetic love sick movies that have ruined the moster movies. This one goes back to basics and is focus' more on the suffering and the pain involved, and also looks at the innocence and trust that children have. Also beautifully shot.... wasn't anything special... pfft

Couldn't agree more. The original swedish one (Let the right one in) was unsophisticated yet very artistic, thrilling, well directed and of course awesome acting from the child actors. If you see half of those in the remake, you'd love it.
By the author who wrote Let The Right One In book, you should give this a go, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Handling-Undead-John-Ajvide-Lindqvist/dp/1847244130
Thanks. :)
Personally I haven't read the book or viewed the 1st movie but I do watch allot of movies and for me this is right up their with my favorites. Its very well shot and very beautiful played out. This really does feel like a modern vampire movie and a relief after watching Twilight (shudders).
Aw no Manchester showing....

"I happen to so don't see him as that outlandish to be fair."

If you need to believe that to enjoy his routine, fair enough

I do actually know people that share his traits, though not as funny.
I don't need to believe his authenticity, I just happen to :)
dayman76
Karl's brilliant act is ruined by Gervais and Merchant. He's much funnier and cleverer than either of them, but they insist on hanging off his coat tails. He does the idiot thing so well that you don't need Gervais pointing out that he's an idiot. You certainly don't need to pretend that you believe everything Karl says is sincere and based in fact.

Still, it sells podcasts to those stupid enough to pay for them and continues the illusion that Gervais is somehow a 'comedian'

As someone who has been with Karl from his humble beginnings, calling him an "act" both frustrates and infuritates me. He is a 100% legit idiot and he owes Steve and Rick everything (hes a millionaire with 3 houses and works a couple of weeks a year)
"I happen to so don't see him as that outlandish to be fair."

If you need to believe that to enjoy his routine, fair enough
Fair point, unless.... he is real oO
If you want to believe it isn't, be my guest :p it's all opinion and conjecture.

Either way I think he does need them - like Noel (talent) and Liam (publicity) Gallagher. I don't think he would be as funny without them, he bounces off of their questions and probing. Out of curiosity do you not personally know anybody who resembles Karl? i.e. A complete lack of scepticism/critical thinking skills (believe anything read, distort it through lack of understanding) - I happen to so don't see him as that outlandish to be fair.

The internet: a place to debate Karl Pilkington. Bet there's a wikipedia entry on this...
bishibashi
Either way - who cares about the veracity, what relevance does it have?

I explained my objection in my first post

Karl's brilliant act is ruined by Gervais and Merchant. He's much funnier and cleverer than either of them, but they insist on hanging off his coat tails. He does the idiot thing so well that you don't need Gervais pointing out that he's an idiot. You certainly don't need to pretend that you believe everything Karl says is sincere and based in fact.

If you want to believe it's real, or pretend to believe it's real, be my guest, but it's not real and never has been. It's called comedy and Karl Pilkington is very good at it without Gervais ruining it by insisting the boneheads who pay for it believe all Karl's crazy stories are more than a well-written and well-performed comedy act.
