Sonic the hedgehog didn't transfer very well to the app store but Sonic The Hedgehog 2 seemed much better. The best deals are on Monkey Ball 1 and 2, Echo and Golen Axe. Never played Streets of Rage as a kid or Shining Force so don't know about those. Voted hot.

Golden Axe & Streets of Rage both suffer from rubbish onscreen controls.
#3
ive heard that the emulation is pants on fast games...shining force and phantasy star should be good though
#4
Super Monkey ball 2 is really good fun though :D but i haven't played either of the sonic ports for the iphone
#5
Might give sonic a go...cheers
#6
nice prices but i have to agree with others that these games, with the exception of monkey ball 1&2 do suffer dreadfully from the usual problems from on-screen d-pads and controls in general.
#7
good price

saw this, lasts till September 1st i think.
Streets of rage plays exactly how it did on the mega drive. Definitely worth getting.
#9
already had SOR since the last time they had a 59p sale. picked up both sonics and both mokeyballs, £6.60 isnt bad for those games although technically free for me lol.
might get golden axe, not sure on shining force but if its 59p nowt to lose.

If you want the older titles on sale here just buy the Mega Drive Collection if you have a PSP/PS3/Xbox- it's much better value as well as having better controls...

Do you need to download an emulator or something to be then able to download and play these, like my mate had to on his desire? Also would this be free on a jailbroken iphone? Thinking of getting an iphone.

No need for an emulator, you just download the specified app and you can play that game :)
If somebody's put these onto a torrent site, then yes - but personally I don't think it's a great idea jailbreaking as it voids your warranty. So, for me, losing warranty on a £600 phone isn't really worth a couple of non-apple certified apps. But saying that you can get the standard apps for free illegally - it's alright for sega, but apps are a bit of a cottage industry; where some developers can't actually afford to have their software pirated

Voids your warranty? Just restore it before getting it fixed.
Just make sure you got Blobs on file/backed up!

yes some of use arent chavvy scum who want it all for free.

and to the person who mentioned the MDC on xbox or ps3 - some people may not have the money for the console. or like me have platinumed it and sold it so this is the way to play.

but i dont mind having a game 2 or 3 times - ive downloaded on xbla, virtual console and now on itunes. that way i can play them anytime.
