Was £29.99 in the catalogue , but is on their web site at £12.99 if you can find it locally. So this is a resonable deal

most of those are in the Megadrive Ultimate Collection, so if you have a 360/ps3 you're better to get that for £10.99 instead
But if you are on the journey, sega can keep little Ones quiet:)

Sliwka...

Amused yes. Quiet... Not so sure. I know I always used to shout all sorts of profanities at the screen when I fell to the bosses on Golden Axe. Heheh.

Never played the console version but a mispent 6th form meant we could finish 2 player with 20p each. Great game. I am Gilas Thunderhead rolling at you.

lol, has nobody noticed on the listing: "This toy does not qualify for the Lion Mark."

i'd stay well clear if they are advertising this as a feature. ffs.
#13
Pity you can't just plug it in

I don't think any console has the lion mark.

A quick google reveals that in actual fact the Vtech Kids games consoles do.
So they cant as easily consume the thing, or break bits off.
This is probably best for kids that no longer eat their toys. :D
Perfect for my 4 year old!

anyone know if you can save your game progress?

No, but most of the games can be completed in like 2 hours.

Or you could buy this Pandora

It doesn't include Streets of Rage 2, Story of Thor, or Gunstar Heroes, and I refuse to buy one due to the sheer inhumanity of it! (Hot price!:))

It's like the old days, that nostalgic feeling of having to pause it to have your dinner then running back with anticipation to kill Dr Robotnik, or level up on altered beast...

Plus these games only last a couple of hours before you complete them so

The GP2x did have some commercial games released:
Since the GP2X has a much smaller following than other handheld consoles, such as the Sony PSP or the Nintendo DS, there are very few commercial games available for it. At the time of writing, Vektar, Payback, Quartz², retrovirus RTS, Wind and Water: Puzzle Battles and Blazar have been released as commercial games for the GP2X, and the games Odonata and Elsewhere were released in October 2006 for Korean distribution only.[8]

However, there are many ports of games from other platforms, mostly Linux, to the GP2X. Popular ports include Super Tux and Frozen Bubble as well as the Duke Nukem 3D, Quake, and Doom engines (which can run the original games if you own a copy with the correct data files). There are also hundreds of original freeware games such as Tile Match and Beat2x, made by GP2X programmers in their spare time.

As for Pandora commercial games its a case of wait & see I think
This is where it will all eventually happen. A lot of homebrew is bubbling beneath the surface and what I’ve seen already from what the Pandora can do, the finalised products will be amazing down the line.

As with all open source and new platforms time is needed before everything is at a good level. This is not a big name company, commercial games wont happen straight away. But they will happen someday and they will rock your socks off.

not columns!!! i remember back in the day (when I was in primary school) my parenterals were ADDICTED to columns... it was on for DAYS and DAYS running paused as they just didn't die and were desperate to beat their top scores... oh the addiction!

Got one of these for my mum (former worst columns addict) and one for my wee boy.

Guess she's just gonna have to play til the batteries run out ;)
