In your opinion. I quite like it.

Just watched the bid tv YouTube video, gotta say when the sales guy said if your kids are going on about wii,ps3 or xbox then consider this(if u want to ruin thier Christmas) and from the comments you can't save your games so will have to start from the beginning if you power it off.good price but looks like a poor product that won't get much use

How do we know it's true when he leaves the statement completely unquantified?

Everything on Bid TV is like that, I put it on once and all their studio lights failed and the guy was still trying to sell some cheapo bracelet going "look how it sparkles in the darkness"

Watch the bidTV video, it actually freezes while the presenter plays it.

I had one of the handheld ones (made by the same company) last year and it was broke before I even touched it. Got a replacement and it was the same. How much would a second hand megadrive cost? Im sure it was better build quality and you can make use of the analogue tuner on your TV.

I've got the original Sega Mega Drive which still works after 20 years. I doubt this would last 20 weeks.
#22
Looks like the worst console ripoff ever. I hate to think of all the poor kids out there who will receive one of these abominations. Why not download a sega genesis emulator and spend your money on the xbox wireless dongle. You could use your wireless 360 pad to play sega roms on your computer.
#23
better of spending your money on the mega drive collection for xbox360 or ps3

Well to be fair, it's a mega drive. You can't save games on a mega drive.
#28
I saw this a few weeks ago in Morrisons and it didn't even have a price listed anywhere on the display. I looked the box but I couldn't find anywhere on it how it connects to the TV. It would be fun if it was a bit cheaper, I'd buy it for the odd sonic moment but i agree the game choice could be better.

@callum9999
are you sure that you can't save your progress on a megadrive? Didn't it save to the cartridge like the snes? I can't imagine ever playing super mario world all the way through in the 1 sitting.
#30
Well I picked one up anyway for £15 as a new years gift for my nan as she was crazy about Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, and my old Mega Drive is now missing :(

The wireless controllers seem a nice bonus, and perhaps when the kids come round her house they can play the other games if they're bored. Only thing that worries me is the freezing hmm, once she has got it, which will probably be the weekend, I will let everyone know here what it's like.

I love Old 16-bit Games, bought this from Morrisons for £14.98...Oh Dear!! Build quality Very Poor; console weighs only 270gm approx (Yes, a Bag of Sweets weighs almost as much) - I thought the box was Empty when I picked it up? Controllers, again very light in construction. Connected it to a TV ...things got worse, Colour registration/alignment completely Off. As a comparison I connected the 'Blaze' handheld version: Picture Perfect! Sorry to rain on the retro-parade, but this 'Reactor' is to be avoided even if You have a Penchant for early 90s tech. Not a Bargain.

No you couldn't. It was REALLY annoying! Especially when you get 80% through the game and die so have to start again!

Some games had battery backup but most either had no save or used a password system to access levels.
