Link doesn't work for me, it took me to an affiliate site which seems a little naughty ?
#2
Oh, not sure why it's linked to that site.
Just checked my opening post and it's the correct link:
http://www.dvd.co.uk/GHw/Sega-MegaDrive-Handheld-20-in-1-Console/BLAZEMDHHCONSOLE/product.htm

But you're right it goes to some other site.

I loved my MegaDrive!!!

Sigh (thinking back to my childhood).....

Anyway, they sell a game for the PSP which seems to have all the same titles for just £15, and may be cheaper elsewhere. So, if you have a PSP just get that but other wise seems pretty cool. Do you know if you can get more games or is it just this?
#4
i got an actual megadrive with about 30 games off ebay last year for 15 quid.
#5
Can a mod fix this on the first post please?

EDIT:
Official link: HERE

If you have a PSP then you could just hack it and run a mega drive emulator and any game you want :p.

Cannot beat a bit of the old skool games
I would have picked this up but I have the homebrew channel on my wii and have the megadrive emulator so will just grab the games through that

No Streets of Rage!?!

Yeah it is a shame. One of the best side scrolling beat 'em ups ever and the music was excellent.

Missing Toe Jam & Earl. That was a great game me and my brother played for ages (as you couldn't save it)
#15
Memories, gonna get mine, perfect christmas present for the old school gamers
#16
Link problem affects all DVD.co.uk deals, probably should have filed it under Base.com.

That aside, Sega Megadrive?

Omg I LOVE it but I have a DS and hubby has a PSP so it would be too naughty to buy.

I am going to download an emulator though, I loved Alex Kidd!

All links that you click to an external companies website on this forum will go via an affiliate link (assuming the company offers comission via a comission comany). That way, HUKD generate a percentage of the purchase you make on said companies website :)

This site is free, so HUKD can only keep going if we keep clicking through and making purchases from these companies. I myself would much rather they make their money from multi-million pound making corporations profits than have a membership fee
#21
nice idea but I can play them on my psp
#22
Good idea but might aswell get an N5 or TTDS Card and a DS. At £80 for the DS & < £10 for the cart its less than £90 for the latest handheld games console with all the lastest games.
#23
I'm prob more a nintendo fanboy than saga, but for those wanting retro gaming this looks like a good deal!
#24
Thing is 3xAAA batteries, unless you get some rechargeables will soon cost you more than you think. Otherwise an interesting selection of games for the Megadrive retrogamer who doesn't use emulators.
#25
no SoR as has already been mentioned... im guessing this thing doesnt do multiplayer anyway so SoR would have been less fun anyway.

meh id quite like a handheld megadrive but not without two of the best titles to come out on the megadrive.

Ah, that would explain why about 10% of the deal links get blocked at my work. There must be a particular affiliate that is blocked, so I can't then get to the particular deal.

Oops, not exactly on topic, sorry! This megadrive device reminds me alot of those TV games that came out a few years ago. They started at £20-£30 (which was very overpriced), then they got discounted. Now most of them can be had for a fiver. I do like the idea of them, but the selection of games usually leaves alot to be desired. If they just went to a Megadrive best sellers chart and took the top ten, I bet most people would be alot happier.

So while the deal itself is a good price compared to other places, I wouldn't pay that much for it. I might reconsider it for a little less.

No Streets of Rage!?!

I got every megadrive/genesis game ever made on my PSP . . .

DGEN emulator runs them sooo smoothly, nothin' better than a bit of streets of rage 2 on the train.

This looks a great idea if you haven't got PSP.

so I have a DS and an N Card (which I got by mistake from a misleading ebay deal)
can someone help me work out how to get hellfire - my all time favorite game for the megadrive
ideally how to get it so I can play it on a monitor not on hte wii, as 5 hours looking at that screen would do me in

This interests me. Can you tell me more please?

Anyone who actually cares about megadrive retro gaming surely knows about emulators and roms, the wii download channel, compilation disks for other consoles, etc so I dont really see who would buy this. I see it more as a gift thing someone who knows nothing about gaming buys you cause they know you used to have a megadrive :?

What! No road rash????? terrible

This was an excellent game! I reckon they couldn't add this as it's an EA title and they'll probably charge an arm and a leg to use it.
#34
Pretty odd selection of games.

None of the big classics.
#35
i have PSP so i got megadrive classics & EA Replay for £20ish and that has desert strike, road rash, golden axe etc etc

I believe they've extended pre orders to 4000 so you might still be able to grab one. I ordered mine last week, can't wait. Trying to shift my GP2X now if anyone is interested ;)

this is £30 in Argos, so this is definitly hot. I have the Master System version which is a simlar affair and it works very well, good quality display.

It's worht noting that these can be played through the TV as well as hand held.
