This is produced by At Games not Sega. Also, for some reason the audio quality is really bad.

As the image indicates, it only has composite and no HDMI (like the Mini NES has).

Does it have a 4K player?

The wireless pads are also infra red. So they need to point directly at the console to work. The emulation is shoddy. Tat

Why yes, it's just known as Blast Processing instead.

I still use my Wii to play GameCube games but via composite? Nope. Wii2HDMI (EHDTV 480p) all the way.

Composite is beyond outdated and there's better old tech anyway.

Have you played street fighter on a megadrive? All characters sound like theyre gargling. Lol. Sound wasnt as good as the SNES

Be warned that this piece of kit has poor emulation. See the review here:

is there any improvement to Wii2HDMI over component? I'm using component for my Wii, is there an advantage to HDMI?

I'm guessing there were licensing issues with most of the good games, hence the really poor selection here.

I had one of these for a few hours and can confirm that the emulation is very poor - especially sound...
The tones are off-key and the channels are out of sync with each other.
If this were around the £10-15 mark, I might have forgiven it's shortcomings but for £40, you can get a low-end Android device and a Bluetooth controller which will do the job better and offer way more in terms of entertainment.

Apart from the voices the mega drive version was better, as long as you had the 6 button pad.

No Reicast, Mupen64, FPSE or PPSSPP?
Missing a trick there, m8, Powerstone 2 and Quake III are still fantastic.

Yes,you can easily do that, but nothing beats playing it on the proper hardware and LUCKILY , The Sega Genesis is officially back in production!!!!
It's not produced by Sega, it's by TecToy. Officially licenced, yes.

Think it's in reference to Brazil. Sega are releasing hardware due to massive demands there at the moment. Brazilians love a bit of sega old school.

it's sold out :(

You can get a real megadrive boxed on ebay for this price
#27
Couple that with an RGB Scart cable and your golden.

Even though I own the official Wii component cable I can't tell because my LED TV doesn't have component-support, which is one of the reasons I bought Wii2HDMI. But yeah, by the looks of it it's an improvement over the official Nintendo cable.

This post here that a Brazilian guy made includes several screenshots of Wii games via Wii2HDMI. 'course, it's not in HD but it sure looks a lot better than composite or component. Wii2HDMI sort of makes the official/unofficial Wii component cables pointless nowadays.

Yeah, the Brazilian TecToy manufactured Segas for the Brazilian market. In TecToy's defence, their own Sega actually looks high quality and not a piece of crap like AtGames' version. As well as very authentic.. after all, it has Sega's blessing.

I have a Wii VGA cable. It converts the 480p component signal to VGA, I then hook it up to a decent spec 19" monitor. Picture is awesome, the best way to see Gamecube games unless you have a US/JAP Gamecube with the ridiculously rare and overpriced component cable

I got one of these last year and if anybody is thinking of getting one for a gift then be sure to buy an old joypad as the ones provided are useless. The great thing about this is you can play old games by inserting cartridges as well as using the in built games. really useful

It has come to my attention that it is possible to use the GameCube Component cable on PAL GameCube games but you'd have to force PAL to NTSC via Freeloader or such. A few loyal GameCubers have this as their set-up but most of us whom missed out on the NGC component cable just can't be bothered to spend $/£150 on the cable.

I'm still trying to get the official GameCube RGB cable for a decent price which is proving to be difficult. RGB is the best way to play PAL games without the Component and NTSC-to-PAL or whatever.

I have the Gamecube RGB cable, got it on launch night, it will only carry 480i RGB though, still looks amazing on a crt though

Free. Apart from the hundred quid or so the Shield TV box cost...

Ok price, but as others have mentioned, there are far better ways of playing Mega Drive. This thing is very ordinary and those controllers are an absolute pig.

You can get an as-new Ouya off ebay for less than this which would give you a far better retro gaming solution.

whats an ouya?

Preferred 6 buttons on th face rather than shoulder buttons, all fighting game pads have had six buttons on the face since. The official street fighter 4 fight pads looked remarkably like the megadrive pads.

R shoulder button was ok when changed to hard kick. the L shoulder button was always the problem so I changed that to medium punch as I used that the least :)
