These all-in-one consoles amaze me - just shows how far technology has advanced when to play these games meant you had to have an expensive state of the art games console costing a LOT of money.

Now you get like 5 games and the console for £7.50

I know what you mean - I have a similar experience playing games like Dragons Lair and Grand Theft Auto on my phone!

These ones are just emulators though, not playing the real game - so although cheaper, the frame rate and sound won't actually be quite as good as the original.

Anyone any idea how easy/hard it would be to get this connected to HDMI? It looks like the only solution would be a converter box, but those come in at £20.
#20
does the console have save slots?

Only will work on a tv with av input or scart (using scart adapter). You could get it to work with hdmi but as you mention this will be expensive and not worth it for this device. I would expect most people would only play this for a few mins before throwing in the draw.

You are better off buying an actual megadrive and games. I got mine from a car boot cheap.

One of the reviews says "you cannot save progress", so I guess not.

im 50/50 on this deal you can get emulators that work on any pc that will play all of these games.

It's not possible, due to the technology inside the console.

Personally, I do not recommend these licensed mini-consoles, they don't do a good job of emulating the games, and more importantly, the sound they make is terrible.

well then I won't be getting it as I don't have the enthusiasm and patience for one single play through lol. Sonic 3D blast back in the days took me about 2 weeks to finish it, and I was about 12 years old back then!

The higher chances of it freezing, the clear sound difference and no ability to save detract a lot from any gaming experience in my humble opinion.

Why not in the classic megadrive pad?

Wouldnt feel the same

Saaaaaaggggaaaaa!

To be honest, is have more fun getting an original megadrive and 1 game, as it'd still be a better experience. Plus most of the games here have been played to death and i hasten to say that perhaps people are getting bored of sonic. By the way, the other 5 games, i guarantee you are pants

pah !

Its 7 quid, battery powered, and hangs on a key ring - what more do you expect.

I've got a few of these - works surprisingly well. Yes the sound is a bit off. I wouldn't say terrible.
#37
Not really sure what this is, but I have 2 toddlers, age 4 and 3, and their dad wont let them play his xbox so should I get them one of these? Or should I get it for their dad?
#38
ATTENTION - Just picked this up today and games are different. 5 bonus games very different. Also the picture breaks up very easily when controller moved plus to change game u have to turn on and off.
#39
wish they would bring out a sega saturn one with preloaded classics.panzer dragoon, nights, virtual fighters megamix etc..etc.one of the most underated consoles ever.
