Not really, people who are **** at it will just blame the game....

I dont have it , but its no pig.

It seemed to combine classic rally gameplay with new gfx and features, and it worked. It was only ever meant to do this and nothing else, todays audience missed the point I guess, probably cos most are too young.

Great deal

Yes but how much do you value your time? A bad game is a bad game regardless of price and compared to other driving games on the market this definately is.

Bought mine for a tenner the other day when it was on offer, not bad - but I preferred spending £15 on PGR4.

I don't agree. I have this, and there aren't too many other games on the 360 that you can compare it with - most other racers are much less "arcadey" and immediate. It's a fun game that you can put on and play instantly, without having to worry about tinkering with your car, etc...

If you like arcade-style racers, this is a great example. I love it, and it got lots of high scores in magazine reviews etc....

Got it, not enjoyable at all, I much prefer DiRT to this. This is just too arcadey.

it is ****, over sensitive unrealsitic controls......physics are all wrong, it doesnt behave anything like a rally car should....worst driving game for some time
#13
only an average game, nothing like sega rally 1+2 (arcade versions)

I picked this up from Play for a tenner and really enjoyed it surprisingly - I thought Dirt was dire, really poor compared to the previous games which I really enjoyed. There just felt like no challenge, no inclination to go back and play the stage over and over again as I like doing in rally games. I just found myself bored doing track after track with little incentive to continue, on the whole it felt so Americanised.

While Sega Rally is more arcadey it forces practice, practice, practice...just chucking the car into every corner Dirt style will leave you last, getting the car into a good rhythm and flowing through the ruts makes a huge difference. The tracks are a bit limited, would be nice to be a little longer and a few more plus the cars are extremely twitchy but worth it for the money...only enjoyable rally game I've played in a long time.

Dirt is a poor game aswell! And they aren't sh*t because theyre arcade-like...they just sh*t games. You want a real arcade racer? Play sega rally for the dreamcast, its pure gold.

This is what is meant by "missing the point"
This is more fun to play than a sim.

Had some really good evenings years ago, playing Sega Rally, on my Saturn. Will never get that magic back, because racing games strive to be to realistic these days. Unless it's on multiplayer they are boring as hell.

OK it no DiRT but at this price its a bargin.

Sorry im on a roll here, but the only 'point' of a game that matters is that the customer enjoys it.
By your logic if someone plays it, doesnt like it, then they must just be missing the point? sheesh

You can stick Sega rally for the Dreamcast up your tail pipe, that truely was an awful game compared to the original Sega Rally Championship 1995 that was available for Saturn and in Arcades across the land, infact everytime I go to Felixstowe arcades I always play that and Manx TT, classic arcade fun all the way.

It's not meant to be a simulation smart guy, you made a big mistake if that's what you thought it was. I'm sure that's your view because you couldn't win a race. I have Dirt too and prefer that to SR, but this is still a great game.

Also, you obviously haven't played Rig Racer if you think this is the worst racing game for some time :p
