You (i.e. they) lost me entirely at "early black friday deal". "Hey time to get all excited for this date for a bargain!! Which er....actually isn't then at all in this instance. But still, still definitely get excited for the day!". It's basically Black Week now so just call it as such.
So please point us to a cheaper one if this is not a bargain.
Well that was my point missed....
Ahh i see so you have no idea where a cheaper one is so you were just talking garbage.Got it now.

I assure you, you definitely didn't get it. (_;)

If this was 2002 it would be a pretty decent price.

Yeah cause in 2002 you could get an LED lit HDTV with HDMI for... oh wait, nothing, they didn't exist.

This is not manufactured by Vestel - Its made in China.

We have an older 32" LED Seiki and in all honesty after feeding it a decent signal it looks excellent - sound is pants though, you'll need external speakers (we used a pair of USB Powered speakers)

Its a great deal, probably better as an occasional bedroom TV than your main set.

I'm actually quite surprised at the 720p panel, I didn't think it would be financially viable to make these any more seeing as everything it 1080p now. Coupled with the lack of freeview HD, I'm guessing this is a TV made up of lots of spare components available in the channel.

Either way, if you need something that doesn't break the bank then its worth going for as long as you understand its "throwaway" nature

It's certainly a very long time since anyone paid £179 for one. Great price though, good find OP.

Looking at the side shot in the photo gallery and it seems rather thick for an LED TV. Can't grumble at the price though!

Many or maybe all Vestel sets have their logic boards made in China. Same is true for many sets assembled around Europe and wouldn't surprise me if a lot of more expensive brands actually had many parts from China. Using a Vestel Finlux at the moment to write this and very happy with it. It was superb value and performs brilliantly.

What? I assume he/she is playing age appropriate games and not GTA or COD.

Just moving into a new flat and tempted by this. Only need a 32" for where it's going. Only thing is, I am moving in the day after black friday itself, so will I get a better tv for the same price on black friday itself?? oh decisions decisions

If you fancy having a scrum and being knocked out of the way at Tesco etc ;)

With the stress of a move I would personally go for this one delivered to you in peace

I've got a Seiki 4k 42" for £200. Screen is good; speakers are bad. Software is bad: can bring up list of scheduled recordings only when new one added; several nuisances; playback from a v.fast flashdrive is sometimes jittery, even standard low def (but then recorded file plays well on PC). Just a warning (I'd trade the 4k for a better software).

Yep my 43" Seiki TV is spoiled by bad software too.
Freeview HD picture is jittery and stutters ( making watching sport terrible ) , and menus get painfully slow.

They assemble many of their TVs in Wales, and when i contacted them about the stuttery picture all they suggested was a factory reset. They were friendly and helpful but didn't resolve the issue.

My partner has a Finlux TV ( which is a Vestel brand ) , and that is great by comparison. The menus are much faster and more logical, No picture stuttering. The only issue was lip synch on HD channels which was cured by changing the HD audio output setting ( we don't use the separate HD audio output anyway - so it did not mater what it was set to output )

I know, my thoughts exactly. Only thing is, this ony has 2 HDMI ports, which really limits it's usefulness. for the sake of a week I will hold out. £100 is the sweet spot and if i find one with 3 x HDMI ports at that I'm sold. There have been a few this week between £115-130 so it may yet happen. If not, an extra few bob for the 3rd port is still money well spent for me.

You can get automatic HDMI switcher units for £4, if that's all that's putting you off? I use one on one of my TVs and that already had 4 ports, but I needed another.

WHAT??? You seem to be suggesting that shops pretend an item was a higher price and mark it down to make it look like it's a really good sale price. This is borderline treason!

That's because it goes without saying, non-4k TVs are basically CRTs at this point
