I like the stand on this. Heat from me. I'm a convert to Seiki. You can't go wrong - excellent spec for the price.

Anyone who says 'but its not 4K....' needs their balls clamped to the bare live wiring of a 4K set....

Need a new TV, was looking at getting 32/40", but this is a cracking price for 50"

Do I need one this big, that's the question

If you've got space for it you won't regret it.

£264. 98 down the drain. Crap TV with only 1080p resolution. Will regret whoever buys this one :D

Wondering between this one and the Techwood smart TV that's about a fiver more for the same size panel. I don't know anything about either make, any thoughts?

My preference is the Seiki... but don't know enough about the Techwood.

Probably worth factoring in the retailer/warranty/after sales etc as well

They both sell 4k tv for a little more. Buy them or hisense 4k for a little more than this obsolete piece of junk.

Why are you making people buy obsolete junk for getting more hits

I paid £600 with 5 years warranty for a LG mid-high range, seems a lot of money for off brand outdated piece of tech regardless of size.

But that's well over 2x the price of this set...

I forgot to add that was nearly 4 years ago.

So it is now an obsolete piece of junk. Should have saved yourself £300 and got one of these!

My own TV is a Seiki 43" , my partner has a Finlux (a Vestel made set the same as the Techwood ).
I would choose the Techwood. The menus and general operation is much better. Seiki Tvs can suffer from picture stutter on Freeview HD- which spoils any sports viewing. So definately do not buy Seiki if Freeview is your main source.
