I'm not sure what this is like in comparison to the 58" Seiki I bought recently. But I honestly wouldn't. It was that bad it actually depressed me to the point where I couldn't game any longer on it. Everything just looked so washed out and pixelated. 1080p movies from streaming sources such as Wuaki and Amazon were an absolute nightmare, they just looked terrible.

Like I say though, this is an experience I had on a 58" Seiki. Unfortunately I don't even know the model number because it was in and out of my house like a flash.

My old mans eye sight won't see the difference in quality and he hasn't got an Xbox or PS... So it will be ideal for war films, might get a sound bar so he can get in the middle of the action

Great price, couldn't get one myself unless I had road tested it first to check motion blur/resolution drop on fast games or HD content.

Just be aware that this isnt a full smart TV meaning you cant browse the net on it there is very little you can do on it apart from U Tube and bbc i player I made his mistake earlier on in the year thinking they were full internet TVs and they are not

He wont take full advantage of the colour display and the 1080p watching Dambusters :D

Yep
SEIKI is SEIKI
If one is thinking vibrant image, fast refresh then this isnt for them. Lowest budget TB for me would be hisense. Theyre like french cars. All bells and whistles

I've paid over £2k for a tv in the past. What this is good at doing is putting a large picture in front of someone who had poor eye sight for £360 which makes it an awesome deal

If limited smart TV function just get a fire stick or chromecast which are often available for twenty quid

Personally think browsers on smart tv's are pants - stick to your phone/tablet/laptop. Browers don't seem optimised for tv's.. even on large tv's you can't zoom in on text.

or porn :-)

Only does BBC iplayer, Netflix and Youtube. Still hot though!

Voted HOT!!!

For me image quality is king, so this deal isn't for me.
But this will be a great deal for someone looking for a budget TV set and are not too snobbish about image quality.
£360 for a 60" TV - I don't think I've ever seen this before.

Indeed. I have my computer hooked up to my TV anyway and that beats the smart features of any/all TVs currently in existence or those that will be released in the next few years. If you can't afford to add a computer, to a TV, then just buy a chromecast. The smart features of a chromecast (especially the updates it gets) should be able to beat the smart features of most smart TVs.

Chromecast can be had for £20 it seems.

This is the reason buying summat like this is a bit of a gamble from AO.com due to their outrageous re-stocking fees. Is it faulty or not up to the standard you were expecting? A minefield...

Look at the side pic too!

Is it a CRT?

Bought the Seiki 55 inch TV a couple of weeks back for £279 from AO. Decent quality for the price.

Heat.

I bought the 55in version of this tv ( paid £260 for it ) for the little one to watch cbb etc.We fitted it onto the wall with a £20 bracket from Amazon. Net cost of under £300. The picture quality is actually pretty decent ( we have a 4k tv in our bedroom - to use for comparison ). You need to fiddle with the settings. It also plays movies from usb and hard-drives. The sound is awful but you can adjust it to slightly less awful or just buy a soundbar. I am thinking of buying this for the old dear - she is blind as a bat and just watches the news 24/7.X)

Rcr get a loud sound bar as well

Tv arrived and for the money it's excellent value. Speaker is not the best but a sound bar sorts it. Word of warning you need a base of about 1.3m to sit it on.... as light as a feather to
