Have you tried http://www.watches2watches.co.uk/ for cheap seiko watches?
#2
nice looking watch

There are some very good sellers in Singapore on EBay who will smash that price. Just take care and deal with one who has a lot of feedback and factor in 20% to cover Customs and VAT etc

Thanks for that sicknote but they dont sell this model. I was looking for the past 2 weeks for this, you wont get it cheaper than £450 from most high street shops

Why has somebody voted cold? :-(

This is an authorised Seiko dealer based in the Midlands, not Singapore. I did check ebay, £220 cheapest buy it now for this model, thats if you want to take the chance on ebay?

I'd rather put £200 towards buying a Dell system!

Thanks for taking the trouble to let us know, do you post that on all non Dell system posts? :whistling:

Could either the OP, or a mod, add the price (and the supplier) to the title please?

Nope...would just rather put £200 to better use than buying a watch.
#14
That's a very good price for UK stock.

I really want this one:

Titanium with Auto-Kinetic Relay, it's truly beautiful watch but it's about £100 over my budget!

At this price, I would have thought it'd come with a lifetime warranty. You've got to be kidding me if you think I'd buy a watch at this price that may break in a couple years.

£1 watches last that long.

My pont is that there are some reutable sellers on EBay and there can be cracking buys. However, having checked further this morning I must admit the price you got is very good. I reckon the cheapest you will get it on EBay currently is around £170 and you will have to factor in duty etc . So this is indeed a hot find.

Excellent watch, bought off eBay:thumbsup:

I bought the Seiko Arctura SNP009P1 recently on a trip to las vegas from a seiko shop at a outlet mall. The watch was brand new with world wide warranty. I went to two malls just outside the strip vancinity in vagas and both had seiko shops.

And the price including taxes on my credit card bill was just £109.00

If you fancy one of these watches and find yourself in the states seek out a seiko shop at one of the many outlet malls.

Good find OP. Good price.

Just make sure that if you buy from this dealer you are getting all the documentation required for the warranty.

Afraid to say that as mentioned by jonboyok the Kinetic Movements can be quite fragile. The situation doesn't seem to have approved much. Their long term reliability is pretty poor which is why I would recommend you purchase the seiko from an authorised dealer who will repair/replace the movement under warranty.

Alternatively, save your money, buy a £1 Lidl special (bargain, i though they were £2!!!) and put the rest towards a Dell System!!!

Seriously though,Siko kinetics long term reliability has long been disputed. Be careful when considering them.

mine lasted about 18 months too i felt very ripped off.
#24
nice watch nice price. i dont need a watch but have voted hot cause this is a good deal.:-D
#25
Well mine has lasted since May last year without a hitch. I am very pleased with it.
#26
Great.

I just think anybody who doesn't know anything about watches and thinks ths is a good price for a Kinetic (which it is) should know that even though you are spending "so much" on this watch, it really is quite unreliable.

Again, beware expect 2-3yrs from a Seiko kinetic without having to spend any money on it - at most.
#27
just looked at this onthe site and the price is £335.95??
banned#28
hmm... £200 for a watch that doesn't last two years...
#29
Ive had my £150 kinetic seiko for over 10 years now.

All I have to do is shake it for a few seconds and it comes to life or if I wear it for an half an hour a day it never needs shaking.
#30
I used to have a Seiko Kinetic, until last year when the battery (which is used to store the generated energy) died. It worked fine for 8 years though, and it's been through quite a lot!

lol . . . Hold on, you're generalising upon one comment that happens to be placed above? Some people are just shallow.

My friends Seiko Kinetic that cost him £100 has lasted him 15 years.

Go figure.

I paid about £280, UK shipping not from the Far East.

Certainly don't regret it.
