me too

BTW the £259 seems a bit false, even Amazon had this below £140 and regularly below £88 for most of this year

Good price but the retail price is laughable.

£87 in Argos. Seems Standard to me.

Great watch tho, worth every penny of £70 heat given

If you want Mickey Mouse, stick with Gerald Genta, will only go up in value ;)

Good value watch. Potentially 3.15% cashback via quidco too.
#14
Ok price, certainly not a £200 watch any day though.

Sell at an over inflated price over Xmas month and then can legally say it's a huge reduction the next month and people just lap it up.

lovely looking watch for the price and good brand too. Thank you OP.

Usually retails for in excess of £100, and is a nice piece of kit.
The 'Argos' one mentioned above is a completely different watch as far as i can tell, and Amazon have it at £127 with delivery from Italy... So teh Xmas money has fianlly burned through my pocket!
Ordered, and with potentially 5.5% cashback through TopCashBack... :)
Heat added...

Erm, is quartz a strong selling point in your opinion? What worse alternatives are there to quartz?

Still, at this price it's a good deal.

Great looking watch and I saw this at my local jewelers for £89!!

is it a Grand Seiko?

Looks very plain jane. That RRP must be hugely inflated. Worth spending £30 more & getting an Edifice? The design & looks are head & shoulders above this.

I investigated on this and it ("dope") apparently means (illegal) drugs. I'm off to get a few kilos from Debenhams..

You sir, are not a watch connoisseur.

This is just a Quartz ..... boring. Never ever worth any more.

Get an EcoDrive or Automatic .... no-one wears Quartz these days with all the silly battery changing .

You're right I'm not. All I know is Quartz is more accurate than automatic.

Seeing as a Dope is a half soaked thick stupid person...I can only assume it's a bad watch.

Dear, dear, dear, if this is flaming hot we might as well all go home. This is never a £230.00 watch and not eve good value at £100.00. £69.00 is about right imo. Cold from me.

I just think the luxury watch market is a racket, but maybe you're on to something with the jewellery thing.

I know what you mean. Boring quartz and its silly accurate time-keeping causing it needing to be adjusted by a few seconds each year. unlike those great mechanical ones that only need adjusting a couple of times a month if you're lucky ;-)
