Long Live the Supermarket Price War! :-D
#2
They need to do this - Sainsbury's fruit and veg is so over-priced it's now ridiculuous. And I'm a regular shopper there.
#3
And who suffers from this... the British Farmers :S
#4
Thanks to the original poster! :D Anyone know where we can get the complete list?

Thanks for this info.

I am worried that the farmers and suppliers suffer with these sort of deals. Also, supermarket vegetables usually have very little flavour. Much better (and cheaper!) to buy from local suppliers, markets, farm shops and organic box schemes.

This is absolute rubbish.

A fresh cauliflower in Sainsbury's is 99p (and it is often on offer cheaper than this) or what I usally buy is a 1Kg bag of cauliflower florets frozen for 87p in Sainsbury's which is excellent value.

Also both of these lines are British and it is worth noting that standards such as pesticide useage and quality control will be much higher than than some of the countries that Aldi sources its vegtables from. If you are worried about pesticides a £1.29 SO Organic Cauliflower is also available but I have no idea where you got £1.79 from!!!!!!

Yes but people such as myself who work long hours simply do not have time to visit seperate shops for different things and my experience of market produce kept out in the sun all day is far inferior to that of chilled supermarket produce.
