Got my selk bag a while ago :):) but was back on the genie site again today and saw they have them at this lower price!

Great fun and really warm!

From the site:
Let's be honest, sleeping bags are rubbish. Even if you're not claustrophobic, they can be restrictive at best and unless you're in a caterpillar crawling competition you look like a right idiot when you have to wiggle across to get the torch.
Please welcome our sleeping bag saviour: the Selk Bag. The Selk is a sleeping bag that you wear - in fact, you can walk around in it, cross your legs and even do the YMCA if you fancy! Not only that but with a suit lining made from soft-touch nylon and padded with a Polyester Hollow Fibre Bonded filling you're good for temperatures as low as -8.4°C!

It has a built in hood and cunningly placed reversible zips at the end of the arms so you can get your hands out for those more fiddly jobs. The Selk Bag comes in three sizes (up to 5'6", up to 6'0" and up to 6'6") and six fantastic colours (see thumbnails). So if you want mobility, maximum comfort and night's sleep as good as your own bed, grab youself a Selk Bag while stocks last.

Update:

bluebindy123:
If you sign up to receive their emails you receive a five pounds voucher sent straight to you.
That makes it £65! :)

Can you get a double one?
#10
Get the brown one and you'll look like a Grizzly bear and does anyone know where to get the old fashioned all in one PJ's with the A R S E flap for adults.
#11
Would love one of these, but can't justify £70, am very disappointed
#12
£70 is still a little too much:x

not bad. I want one of these for going to work. Need it to be a bit cheaper though, around £9.99 would be ideal!

Must be me but their statement, "Look cool when you're warm" doesn't quite cut it. :-D:-D

Does anyone know what size these go down to when packed?
Also, what do they weigh?
#19
Dig it!! Heat added!
#20
Heatings broken in my car - this is cheaper than fixing it!!
#21
Coolest thing ive seen for a long time, but still too much for an impulse buy
#22
I have wanted one for a while, but they are still just too expensive - and sleeping bags just take up way too much space in your bags.

using the word FAIL is in itself a tired response by those with nothing really to say.
#24
I know someone with one of these and they said that they are brill! I would love to get one, but like a few others have said they're still a bit on the expensive side. Fab concept, but I can live without one until they get a bit cheaper!

heat and rep.

£70 can be justified if you like the outdoors and go camping.

I'm traveling the USA for nearly 3 months next winter, this will be great on Amtrak. Might wait a bit though, as they may come down in price again. But if you're off traveling soon, £70 is well worth it.

That is assuming they are as good as sleeping bag as suggested. Not read any full reviews on it though.

I agree, i been saying for a while now that "fail" is the dumbest thing that has come out of the internet in a long time. Best to stick a gun in their hand and tap on the Predators shoulder "Hi Sir, look at that killer with the gun, please skin him alive"

About 'normal' sleeping bag size (the same sort of size as most of the ones you get in millets etc), I think they are about 2kg

(Mine is stored 'hung up' not in the bag so I can easily weigh it! sorry :( )

There is also talk of a limited edition pink one:

When i got mine this did indeed happen, can't say if its true now though? (I seached for the voucher and it had been expired as not working)

would mean £65 if its true!

Got the red one and had it since last summer (if there is such a thing in the UK)! Brilliant product! Feel a bit of a wally in it though if you walk about on a camp site in it so wouldnt recommend that but good talking point with your mates. Kept me really warm, no messing about with sleeping bags which arent wide enough and make you feel like you're in a coffin. Dont weight much more than a decent sleeping bag and compresses to a decent size. Side zips by your knees work really well and let a bit of the heat out but not too much that you freeze. For this price its a billy bargain!

I so want one of these! :w00t:

I signed up with them this morning so you do still receive a £5.00 code

The green one looks like a Godzilla fancy dress costume lol
#33
like many would love one but would need to be nearer £50 mark , as i have several sleeping bags already , just buying this because i could...
#34
This is all you need for your summer festival. If they made a waterproof one your could just wear it for the whole weekend.

I believe what you are looking for sir is what is known back in the day as a Union Suit or Cowboy LongJohns

Traditionally made of red flannel with long arms and long legs, it buttoned up the front and had a button-up flap in the rear covering the buttocks (colloquially known as the "access hatch", "drop seat", "fireman's flap", and other names)
