Just no.

maybe i'm missing something but that's £4.99+ VAT and worth mentioning that this is a drop off service and NO protection whatsoever if lost or damaged.

I very much doubt you'll find much at that weight which you wouldn't want protected. These cheap deals are such a con. They might as well start advertising a 50p service where they don't even promise to try and deliver it.

they do advertise a 50p service in the job centre where new Hermes drivers get 50p a parcel and must not promise to try and deliver it. TBH I have sent over 500 parcels and all have arrived ok might not have been handed over to recipient but they got there and touch wood no buyer complaints. I have more problems with royal mail.

You aren't on the receiving end.

To be fair the drivers don't get paid until parcels are delivered so surely they would rather deliver them than risk compensation being taken from their wages. I also use Royal Mail and my Hermes. With the odd complaint from Both but very rare.

Send hundreds of parcels with MyHermes no problems at all.
Now started sending to Germany,Lichtenstein, France etc
Usually use via Interparcel but this deal may be worth switching to Parcel2Go while the offer is on
Heat added.

do not touch them if something goes wrong you will spend more time and money trying to sort it out thier cs is a complete shambles

Wouldn't even bother the amount of expensive items iv had delivered been left out side and had been stolen or damaged so long to get a refund better of asking Bart Simpson for his sling shot and fling it in the air (_;)

Myhermes. Bull shi**. Lost 2 parcels recently. A braun shaver and Nike shoes. Never again. Have read stories about parcel being lost but web tracking as "delivered". They recruit professional thieves as drivers IMO

Just to clarify, I've also had a generally good experience with Hermes themselves. It's just these misleading 'deals' from Parcel2go which I dislike.

I am the same, send the amount and rarely have a problem. royal mail on the other hand are awful.

Sorry but I have to vote cold because Hermes lost one of my deliveries today, and now I have to file a claim and wait 14 days to see if they agree to refund me up to the insured amount... not good.

Is it only for inside the uk?!

These guys seem like jokers. Received a parcel yesterday, the lady said, sorry I was supposed to come yesterday... Okay oO

A while back I got a slip through the post which read "Parcel under car", what the flip!? I was at home as well!

I sent a complaint to Hermes, they replied:

"Good Afternoon,

Thank you for emailing us at myHermes.

I understand you wish to enquire about your parcel.

I have checked our tracking and can confirm that the parcel was delivered on21/05/16 at 17:10 and was handed to the customer.

If you are disputing this delivery , then you must contact the retailer directly and their own customer services team will deal with this enquiry themselves."

You couldn't make this stuff up.

I would list out every reason why i hate Royal mail, but i haven't got all night. Just take my word for it.
MyHermes are leaps and bounds ahead.

To MyHermes credit they have never lost one of my parcels, and the driver is always very friendly. Amazon however... oO

Avoid Parcel2go like the plague.
I created this account just to post this - they are that bad.
I used them to send my PC (Pc needed some fixing and I was young so didnt bother to take out the insurance). The tracking status read as delivered so I assumed all was well until I heard nothing for weeks. I contacted the recipient only to be told he had not recieved the PC. I spoke to their customer service and was repeatedly told lies (Not the normal nonsense but actual lies!). They dropped calls on me, ignored my emails and repeated the same copy and paste message whenever I questioned them. A hard lesson to learn for £700.

myhermes....says it all...avoid

expected to receive a parcel...not carded ...when I checked tracking, it said left in a safe place...not at my house it wasn't

6 weeks later still no idea where is the parcel...myhermes doesn't even seem to have interviewed the driver

Would rather use InPost via parcel2go much more reliable service.

I've used myHermes a lot, but they have lost a few parcels recently, so I decided to use collect + instead. No problems with them so far.

Anything under 2kg goes via Royal Mail, anything over that goes via Collect +.

good luck! if not delivered have a look into your bin outside or nearby bushes!

MyHermes are leaps and bounds ahead.

I have sent and received over 2500 parcels with RM over 15 years, not one has been lost or damaged. I've been sent 12 Hermes parcels, christmas present worth £300 was 'delivered' and never seen again (stolen, I got no refund), another worth £450 was 'delivered' at 10pm but wasn't, courier claimed it was, I told him I had cctv and was contacting the police.....and my parcel arrived the next morning. Side was cut open so he could check for valuables, of course.

They lost the first one, you still went ahead and sent two. Next time, apply wisdom and caution to avoid this sort of emotional outbursts on hotukdeals. No one is forcing you to use them. It's a matter of CHOICE.

this wasn't emotional nor was it an outburst at all. it was a warning and a deception with a review of my recent troubles with dealing with them.

i sent the packages which i was told were lost, only after i sent a claim they magically appeared . plus these are just the latest that i sent and was the last straw.

they broke and damaged a £660 gtx 1080 also and promised me this wouldn't happen again. just read their twitter it's full of complaints.

im sorry i won't warn others or review their service so others can go and get terrible service.

don't message me back please. i wanted to warn people not trigger individuals like yourself.

everyone else; i was just giving you a small insight into what happened to me recently but I've had a much worse history with then. please use this service with caution if you choose to

One major bug bear i have against RM is their stupid policy of missed delivery.
I have items delivered to my grandparents because they are usually in to receive items, whereas i work full time (and a lot of overtime)

If an item isn't delivered, it gets sent to the main sorting office in the town center - meaning i have to pay to park to go and collect it, during their narrow window opening times (which inconveniently co-incide with my working hours)
When i get there - they demand ID (WHY!?! They were going to hand the parcel to someone without needing ID in the first place!! Why do they need ID now??)

Requiring ID also presents a problem. Because the item was posted to my grandparents address and has their address on it (but my name), they arent usually happy with my ID due to the different address and i cant proove i live there because i dont! So i have to usually take my grandad with me to go and collect a parcel - but he doesnt have a passport, driving license or any form of ID so he brings a council tax bill and hopes for the best.

Just a massive faff.

So, instead i try and have the item redelivered to the same address. So far so good, except several days pass and no sign of the item. I phone RM to find out where it is, long story short - it was delivered to a completely different address!!!!!

Lots more reasons why i hate them - ripped open parcels with an "apology" note taped to it, extortionate administration charges for overseas goods that were stopped at customs... the list goes on.

You only need to show a bank card with your name on it - no need to prove the address:

likewise - some people with no experience like to bandwagon jump

cold.
no protection, no signature and add £1 VAT

lost or been damaged 4 items, in two months and worst always there is only one answer from them , "I am very sorry" and "we should get an answer in two days" but none of cases has been resolved or given more info, they can't provide any details or compensation, just stay away from them, as I did.
