Jump to unread Post a CommentI've got to second this. Forget about it being anything to do with Formula 1. It's all about the man, not the occupation.
I have yet to hear of anyone who, having seen this, hasn't found it fascinating. Women, men, old and young - most of them knew next to nothing (or nothing at all) about F1 or Senna; in fact that probably helps - makes for a shock ending.

I'm hugely anticipating for this upcoming F1 film: http://www.rushmovie.com/
I haven't seen it on DVD quality but it looks great on blu-ray. I think the old footage has been remastered the best way possible.

Seems to be taking forever..
Don't doubt it will not only be superb film...Knowing Ron Howard, this will win a few awards

I believe a lot of the original footage was filmed in 4k anyway, which actually surpasses 1080p
Having watched this at the cinema, there's absolutely no point buying the blu-ray if you can find the DVD cheaper.
Yeah, the only thing I don't know them and never heard of them, but I did follow Senna's carrer.

+1 no point in buying blu-ray over DVD (but great price, and film, voted hot)

The original footage is of variable quality, but much of it very good indeed. Before video took over, F1 was filmed on 16 and 35mm stock. Some of the Japanese footage is superb. In addition, the BluRay features more than an hour of extra footage (via seamless branching) that isn't on the DVD version I watched.
Fopp in Nottingham also has the BluRay for £6. Saw it yesterday.
