Senna Blu-ray (Triple Play) £13.99 & DVD - £8.99 Pre-Order @ Sainsburys Entertainment
Senna is the true story of Brazilian motor-racing legend, Ayrton Senna, whom many believe was the greatest driver who ever lived. Spanning Senna’s titanic Formula One career, the film charts his physical and spiritual journey, both on track and off; his quest for perfection and his ultimate transformation from a supremely gifted novice, who exploded into F1 in 1984, to myth after the tragic events of Imola in 1994. Made with the full co-operation of the Senna family and Formula One Management, Senna is the first official documentary feature about his life, featuring astounding archive material, much of which is previously unseen.

Just watch it and see what he had to put up with both on and off the track...
And i see that in Vettel too.

Schumacher raced against Senna! Since Senna's death was premature, his time and Schumachers time would have had even more cross-over!
I have to agree though, that Senna was increadible and had a natural talent that's second to none.
Does this release contain the long, short, or both versions?

why can't you compare them? they raced together for nealry 4 years? only difference was the drivers they both deliberatly crashed into.

They only raced for 3 years (92-94) and Senna had the better drivers to race against (Prost, Mansell, Piquet and a few others that would pick up the odd win here and there). Schumacher only had Hill and Hakkinen.
When they did race together, Senna was the better driver.

Great movie :D.
I dunno, possibly if they've done work touching up old footage or enhanced it somehow? I dunno how it all works, but a lot of old releases by studios go through some sort of process (e.g. fix contrast, improve colour....???) before coming out on Blu-Ray, sometimes the picture is marginally better. In this case I would guess there wouldn't be any quality difference apart from extras (e.g. interview with the film makers). They can just charge more on Blu-Ray.
Quite possibly the most retarded post in the history of HUKD. Well Done.
His death (the last to happen in F1) shocked the industry to the core. It was his death along with Roland Ratzenberger (at the same GP no less who always gets forgotten) that forced the FIA to introduce the safety law's we see today. If you had the brain cells to watch the film you would see how dangerous it was to race in those day's and how he was treated by the FIA.
Top Gear did a very good tribute: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNmqn3heGgE

Which was caused when the car bottomed out and lost downforce at high speed, it was no fault of his.

Film is higher definition than Blu Ray. That's why they can make Blu Ray's of old movies like Casablanca. A 35mm film has a 4K resolution, which is 4096 pixels by 3112 pixels.... this is quite a bit greater than HD at 1920 by 1080.
That having been said, if they filmed the races to be broadcast on TV then they might of only used some kind of SD recording equipment.
