Thanks, I have struggled. Though this is my second now. :)
I've not seen the DVD version myself so can't really compare, but I can't imagine there is much difference as they've used old and often grainy footage as you say. If you can find the DVD nice and cheap it may be worth it, but I can't see it for much less, at Zavvi its only a quid cheaper for example, so personally I'd probably just grab the blu-ray.
