Great headphones. Well the older CX-300 in the planet choking packing are. They are the only headphones I've had that don't self descruct if I get the lead snagged on a fellow commuter, train seat back etc. Sound quality etc. are as good as pairs costing three times as much IMHO. Being canal based you can actually use them on the underground and hear music without making your ears bleed!

Only snag is I keep losing the ear buds, so a spare pair wouldn't do any harm.

FWIW, Play.com are only 10p more (direct rather than marketplace).

Be very careful buying from a non-mainstream source/ebay as there are loads of inferior forgeries around!

These better than the Sony one (http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/513728/sony-mdr-ex35-closed-in-ear-comfort?p=6715430#post6715430) ?

My wife wants something with soft ear bud that don't fall out ??

in my uneducated opinion the sennheiser's will be way better. i own the version 1 cx300's and they are great :)
#11
These are better than those Sonys and the Mk II Senns are supposed to be quite a bit better than the Mk Is.

Comfort and fit is very personal, but I suspect the Sonys might stay in the ear better; more expensive Sonys are good in this way.

These look great, ordered.

:)

I bought a pair from E-Bay which were fake (for £5 I should have known better) the sound was pretty good so the genuine series 2 model should be great. I may have to invest in a pair.
#14
Ive got some of these and you cant fault them for under £14.
#15
Same as amazon
#16
:thumbsup:After extensive testing (numerous Sonys etc) I have to say that these are extremely good value for the price. I use them at work - but they do cut out sound and I often do not hear my own mobile ringing..

Excellent
#17
u will not be dissapointed withe these pairs.
#18
Just got these 2 weeks ago to use with my Rokr E8 brilliant sound for the price. Heat added

Need a pair of headphones for the gym but my last pair of creatives (similar headphones) died from sweat overload I think :(

Thanks Rufus. I am finding that my Creative EP-630 pair sound great but the build qualifty just isn't great; the lead has caught and torn on my first pair (bought about a year ago) and the earphone is in the process of detaching itself in my second one pair.

always mean to order these every time a deal for them appears on this site, my current earphone are on their last legs

These phones are so frustrating, the sound, price and fit are excellent - however I've broken two pairs as the 3.5 jack connection is easily broken when running.

Its such a shame...

Bought these from amazon only 2 weeks ago to replace standard ipod ones because everyone knows ipod phones are pants and I can't recommend these enough. Very pleased with them indeed. Fit perfectly and totally leave the standard ipod phones in the shade IMO. slightly cheaper than what i paid which was £14.99, so snap em up if you need some.

You can get her the MX90VC, had them for a good few months, always stayed on! It's got a 'twist-in' technology that stops the earphone from falling out, also comes with different sized earbuds AND a pair of the soft ear buds she's demanding.
#28
Yeah that´ll do for the missus.

If she wears these real tight will that mean I can´t hear her any more?
#29
amazon sell for more or less the same price...

Highly reccomend - bass especially is astounding
#30
Can anyone confirm if these actually produce any decent bass when used in conjunction with an iPhone 3G?

I've been disappointed before with high-end earphones which are good phones but the iPhone 3G simply can't drive.

Anyone?
#31
Ordered, thanks.

Don't forget 1% quidco, already tracking (after a couple of hours) at 21p

Every little help :-)

Are you referring to the MX90VC or CX-300s?

..regardless i'll give you the answer as i've got both:

MX90VC- you can only hear her if she has her volume at a very high level. The good thing about the MX90VCs are that they will stay on no matter what sort of work you're doing. Mate uses them for the gym and his feedback has been 100% positive!

CX-300- because they are in-ear, the noise is isolated from the outside environment and hence very little can be heard from outside even at a medium volume level.

Most people tend to like the CX300s over MX90s due to their 'twist-in' system which a lot of people find uncomfortable. I, on the other hand prefer my MX over CX.:-D

I bought mine for roughly 10p more on Amazon.

However - What I have found with the CX 300's - the first version - is that after a while, the right ear piece goes dead.

Perhaps its to do with the length of the cable - I'm 6ft 3 so the wire just reaches my connected device.

Just received mine. To say they're a disappointment is an understatement.

Don't get me wrong, they're a damned sight better than most small in-ear efforts but they're very coloured.

Low-mids over-emphasised, little real bass extension, nasally upper-mids and recessed treble.

Compared to my Grado SR80s (which are only double the price) they're pretty rotten if I'm being honest.

I can see why folk who don't know what real bass sounds like would like them though -- but shame on WhatHiFi for giving them 5 stars.
