Under £10 from Play Trade sellers.

Haven't they been this price forever? (I might be thinking of the 300s...)

Sorry ive updated the link. There are lots of fakes going around and these are being sold direct from play not from a trader.
#8
Wouldn't trust any play.com traders at all - 99% fakes.

I got these ones from play just before xmas paid £17.99 there the real deal and a great sound thru them. I purchased them to replace the apple ones i got with my iphone 4. Defo worth a purchase if your on the look out for some.
#12
Heat added, great price if they're real. I've ordered so will have to wait and see, if not Play will likely return without a qualm.

hi leeson, can you tell where you did your research? I mean a mag or some website?

General customer feedback on amazon, play etc and on what hifi mag, stuff magazine and some headphone sites I found online. From what I can gather the cx400's have an in line volume control and have a wider frequency band.

thanks OP, just ordered one

missed it :( had it in my basket went to make a cup of tea, came back and it was 39.99 - doh!

Expired I'm afraid hopefully be back to 17.99 soon..

How annoying!! Dying for these or something similar. Anyone recommend anything at a similar (Sub £20) price?

Massively over rated and over priced imo, bought a pair and was very unimpressed, promptly sold them to a mate.
My Sony MDR ED21 LP's are just as good if not better especially with the lower frequencies (important to me as I love my dubstep)
Pound for pound the Sony MDR ED21 LPs are the best headphones imho.
@ Electro, grab yourself a set of the Sonys, you won't be disappointed!

Try looking at the soundmagic range . Good cheap manufacturer from china . They have a few in the range pl-11, pl-30 etc .

http://www.focalprice.com/CP074B/Genuine_Sound_Magic_PL30_Professional_in_Ear_Earphones_PL30_Black.html

I have the PL-30 for around a year now and they are great . ( the PL-30's are not for bass lovers though)
Good reviews to.
price is in us dollars so the pound price comes out cheaper

I had these, they were great. For about a month or so.

Then the sound began to get gradually quieter in both earphones before failing entireley in the right one. A fault developed in the 3.5mm jack, which I've read is a common problem.

No treble, overly expressed bass that goes into a one tone rumble and is louder than mids... What kind of a **** music do you listen to?

The Play trade ones for £10 ARE fake and sound crap, i've been stung and complained but
no answers !

Im sorry dude but what on earth did you expect, paying £10 for headphones retailing at £40?
#24
I got the CX500s a week ago from playtrade seller technoplay for about £16. Very nice earphones even if the bass is quite boomy, so I presume they're not fake as they seem to match all the reviews. I'd recommend the CX500s instead.

A load or tripe, they are very good headphones especially given the price, they are Bass heavy but I like it that way. The sound quality is clear, and personally I don't like the wire rubbing sound you get with in-ear headphones, these make a nice seal in the ear without the cable rub problem.

i have the sony ones and i love them - but i dont really listen to bassy music
#29
hard to know if people here are comparing fakes or the real thing.

With the amount of fakes around and from my experience I think the people slating these mostly have the fakes.

I have the real ones, lasted me a year so far, use them everyday and still going strong, great quality headphones.
