Also check out this link for the Amazon.co.uk mastercard where you get a free £15 off your first purchase, which could take this down to £1.50!

I have never had a credit card before, but from what I can gather this will let me have these headphones for £1.50 and as long as I pay off the £1.50 and cut up and throw away the card I shouldn't get any more fees should I?

These are very good earphones - much better than onbe that comnes with ipod, zen and imo, better that sony earphones too.

They also come with 3 earpeices: small, medium and Large

the way the amazon mastercard (run by Halifax bank) works is that after you have made your first purchase, amazon send you a £15 coupon by email... it takes several weeks for the coupon to arrive - so the £15 discount is not applied to that first purchase, but a subsequent purchase... worth taking one out in order to get the coupon. You can then close the account if you want. There is no annual fee.

Got these a few days ago for £14.99 and none of the ear buds fit at all, luckily I managed to sell them on to a colleague at work. If they don't fit they're next to useless

Could the people who have posted they got it cheaper elsewhere, let me know where u got them from please.

Same here, Amazon have put the price up for some reason.

These are the best earphones I've ever owned. I had a pair of Sony in-ear ones that cost £30 and they weren't as good, now they just refuse to work at all.

It's impossible to go back to normal headphones (i.e. ones that come with iPods) once you've tried the in-ear variety.

Thanks;w ill keep an eye out for them :)

these are great headphones, better than a similar sony type of which the rubber coating breaks apart.

Got these a few weeks ago off ebay they rock, Amazon were selling them for £14.99 a while ago but with the free delivery on orders over £15 you arent that much worse off now they are this price.

Quid or two cheaper on Ebay but like someone else already mentioned, beware of fakes. The seller i bought them off actually listed the difference between real and fake ones in the item description (with pictures) which reassured me a bit and when they arrived they were indeed the real thing :)

i had a pair from ebay (fake) and amazon (genuine) but i will stick to my new sony bluetooth set now, the sound is as good as these in my opinion.

Best earphones I've had too... ;-)

they are top notch in-earphones - currys still sell them at rrp @ £39.99, so a bargain from Amazon. Check the colour options as well, white and silver tend to be a little more expensive than the black.

If anyone else is looking for "cheap" earphones, Amazon have some really comptetitive prices on Shure E2C and Etymotic earphones(iirc about 40% discount on rrp) which are also top quality although around £40-£60. Premium prices for premium products.

I've often wondered with earphones that good...

...is it worth buying them to go with an mp3 player? As an mp3 is compressed it's losing quality anyway, wouldn't this negate the point of having expensive earphones?

if the file is encoded well you can't tell the difference between an mp3 and the original lossless file, especially on an mp3 player.

phones and encoding quality make ALL the difference.

i've got a pair of Shure E500's with my 5.5g ipod and a portable RS Tomahawk Amplifier, the sound quality is nothing short of phenomenal for a portable player.

these cx300's are decent for the money though, well worth it over standard buds.

In the used and new on amazon they're as low as 6.99.
Are they real or fake ones?

No real way to be sure; the only thing I do know for sure is that I will not purchase "used" headphones - who wants to share earwax?

Almost all fakes m8. Avoid. Not worth the grief. Although Amazon were very good when I complained about my fake ones (looks wise they were very similar) and they refunded me in full within a day.
