CX 300 is the older model and CX300 II Precision ECO the newer model...

What's the differance between these and the version 1's?
#9
Cheers for this, I need a new pair of headphones as my Sony Fontopia ones are held together with 'leccy tape, and I have to start using the Metro to get to my new job.

Public transport? With the plebs? Oh dear...

H&R added.

Cheers,

BS...

They are cheap and sound great, but only to start with. I've gone through several sets of 300's within 12 months, and each time the left earbud seems to give up on me. Just gradually gets quieter and quieter until eventually there's nothing at all :(

Shame really, cos these do sound good and give plenty of bass

Extremely random request....

Does anyone have these 'phones and have some spare caps they do not need?

Lost one of mine the other day and can't find the pouch with the spares :( any one of the bigger sized pair would do - PM me???

Cheers!!

According to Sennheiser they hope it has addressed the issues the Is had with them dying so soon.

I prefer the CX500s as they're symmetrical.
#16

#17

£30 on play.com for the white version... Stupid! :?

Really good headphones, used them for a while. I just checked amazon, these are 10.99:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-Eco-Ear-Canal-Headphones/dp/B000S8EUNM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1263060503&sr=8-3

Although they are not called cx 300, they look identical, and from the reviews they could actually be cx 300's.

Scroll down a bit, that's exactly what they are.

I am waiting for £12.99 deal. That happened several time before.

Yeh, but that's the first model. Amazon are selling the ones here for £21.49 - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-CX-300-II-Precision/dp/B001EZYMF4/ref=pd_cp_ce_1

Just got some of these from amazon a couple of weeks ago.
The sound is reasonable, and the fact that they go right in your ears makes them quite effective at shutting out background noise.

HOWEVER, i find them annoying because the cable is quite microphonic - if the cable brushes against anything, you can hear it clearly as a sort of rumble effect. Most irritating.

Because of this, I tend to use them only if i know i'm not going to be moving about much, which kind of restricts their use :-(

Anyway, this is a good price for them.
#26
so which ones are better? One guy in his review says he has both and prefers the mark I model
#27
I got these from Amazon for £14.99 before Christmas, just checked now and they've rocketed to £32.99! :?
#28
My Nokia has a small socket so I ordered the 2.5mm version of these headphones from play well before xmas. I think they were out of stock and the order is just sort of sitting there... is this normal for play? Should I just wait or nag them about it?
#29
so are these worth the extra fiver over amazon are charging?

These are very good. I just got them from Play.com for £12.50, this being from one of the companies through them.

mamboboy
the volume reduced to around 50% what they should be in around a month

This has happened to me with every pair of Sennheiser's I have bought - I don't know why I keep going back to them like some kind of Pavlovian dog even when I know they have crap quality and longevity

Email Sennheiser, they will send you some replacements for free. They sent me 100 (no really!) when I emailed them.
