I don't understand headphones so if anyone on here has real experience with this pair could you please share? They do sound very good and for the price i am very very tempted Thanks

I bought the Sony on here a few weeks back & they were/are rubbish. I also bought these & although not perfect, for £9.79 they are much better than the Sony & well worth the money. The Bass is less wooley than the Sony & treble much clearer.

I got these a fortnight ago, and the bass is overbearing.

I have Sennheiser 201's and 218's for comparison (plus some Sony's and Panasonic's), and the 218's are great!

Edit: Just to add, having listened to Muse and The Stone Roses on my 407's, since first commenting. The quality is appalling! A very unclear, muffled sound.

These are open headphones so wouldn't work for DJing, you'd need to go for a closed pair.

Thats what I think of those groups as well.

A quick google & your comparing a £17-00 & £29-00 pair with a £9-97 pair.

OK! I have now been listening to Bach's 'Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 in G Major', and guess what? An unclear muffled sound!

These Sennheiser 407's supposedly have an RRP of £30, 201's and 218's can be had for less £13 occasionally. HUKD search.

Nothing wrong with my hearing, we all have different tastes.

You're a DJ and don't know about headphones? oO

Anyway, closed will keep the sound of the music in and the people out.

Closed cancel out sound outside of the headphones.

wearing a pair of these right now

they are awesome for people who want to listen to music, probably not good enough for those who really want to w*** over the sound but they're fine for my use

to respond to criticism - if the bass is overbearing turn down the bass (on your player). the quality is not muffled or anything as far as i can tell, i mainly listen to flac files on my laptop, are you plugging them into an ipod or something similarly underpowered? they don't sound so good when i listen to mp3s on my creative zen player but flac files through the laptop sound very good

i'm not an audiophile and i like these a lot, would definitely recommend for the price. if you want super-awesome-crazy sound spend £100 on your headphones, if you want to listen to some music while you browse the internet, write an essay for college or maybe play a bit of system shock 2 then these are good

hi

I have an old pair of Sennheiser PX 100's that I am rather fond of (though they probably are on their last legs). How do these compare with the hd407?

Anyone know if they are similar-sound wise? Thanks..
#28
i think the sennheiser hd 202s are better

I own that pair, they are absolute rubbish... Just look really cool round your neck. To be honest i orderd a pair of these because they are obviously betterl. I also own SK PRO bought for £80 a few months ago and they have great quality but if you like bass they may not be for you.
Hope this helps

Be aware that the cable is only 1.4m so not so good for home TV viewing unless you like your nose pressed up against the screen.

Recieved mine today. Tbh they are good for £10 but no bass and quite a bit of leakage. Very nice just for listening to music if you hate bass, but i on the other hand am a bass freak :D

mine came today also - excellent for £10 decent sound :)
