Amazing headphones and a good price

exactly the same driver as the hd650 but this one is a cleaner, more neutral signature. This is the one to go for really. I even prefer the hd600's sound over the hd700.

I haven't had the pleasure of the hd700s yet what didn't you like?

Owned these for 6 months a few years back. Couldnt understand their popularity. Gave it 6 months to bed in but just had to sell it. I didnt dislike them but for the money they were hardly better than cheap headphones. I then had the opportunity to purchase the Beyerdynamics T1 (RRP £1k) at 50% off. Gave these T1s 6 months and again could understand the fuss. Sold them later for £650.

Now just listen to In Ears. Currently sporting the Westone UM3x (same 50% discount).

All these high end headphones arent really worth the money.

The FR/signature didn't feel as flat as the HD600s. I could forgive it if they sounded exciting, but they didn't, quite the opposite. Personal opinion of course.

What is your Audio Source ? That will obviously have a major impact on sound.

Well HD650 feels much more comfy to me. But at this price, Hd600

The shape, materials and pads are identical on both the hd600 & hd 650, so I'm not sure what you're comparing. perhaps the one you tried were different ages, eg. one had been worn in a bit, relieving some clamp pressure. Physically the only difference is the colour, the parts are interchangeable.

Good price! One of Senn's best set of cans.

I would rather go with AKG K702 than these.

I use them all the time and I don't care about other people moaning but I do reduce the volume

Seems to be becoming a bit cheaper to be an HD600 owner. Genuine Sennheiser replacement earpads now £35 from Thomann or allegedly decent quality from ebay for just over £20 with delivery :

Even some modestly priced amps and amp/dacs are reckoned to do 'em some justice :

I specially bought a £2500 Shanling t2000 valve CD player with a £1000 bayerdynamic headphone amp. Could not get it to match an average hifi/speaker set up

All these high end headphones arent really worth the money.

you must be deaf or not listening to the right genre and style of music to appreciate the quality of a pair of decent headphones

i can tell the difference between my fidelio x1, akg q701, hd 558, hd25-1 ii and my HD600 easily

they all sound different and the soundstage of the Q701 is simply amazing, i love the bass on the x1's and the vocals on the HD600's, hd25 are my portable can and my hd558 is my gaming can (powered by a mixamp).

i have an AUNE T1 and soon a Schiit Vali to use with both my mixamp and AUNE.
