UPDATE - £13.90 at http://www.blahdvd.com/ seems to be the best price now...
Unless you get the free shipping at scan and are happy to wait a few days http://www.scan.co.uk ProductId=358856 £12.44

I missed out on these when they were £14 at Amazon and now that their price has gone up a bit, as well as them only being available via Indigostarfish.com, this seems a bargain to me. Quidco available as well...

Great deal!

I got a set of these just before Xmas from Amazon, but my wife got me a set too as a pressie so I've had to hide the ones I bought!:-D

Oh well, that's what Ebay is for

very hot.

How much are these normally?
Also, I dont suppose they would be suitable for iPod use with the 3m cable, would they?
#4
On an aside - have indigostarfish taken over amazon entertainment section? I was a bit annoyed with them as their packaging is no where near on a par with Amazons! :(
#5
Link doesn't work for me :(
#6
Would these be the right sort of headphones for plugging into an amp and playing guitar? If i bought one of those little 3.5mm adapters.

@jknoxville - the OP says it comes with a 3.5mm / 1/4" adapter

It would seem that there is no cashback from Quidco as their site states

"Cashback will no longer apply to games console or digital hardware sales made through cashback sites."
Specific reference re : "Digital Hardware & Accessories Digital Music Players, Speakers, Headphones, MP3 Gadgets"

Still a good deal without it though, so heat added.

I bought these headphones a while ago - they're very good, though perhaps slightly lacking in a bit of bass. If you have a look at reviews of theses, you'll see they're higly rated by audiophiles (see here and here.)

Be aware though that the 3m long cable makes them akward to use when out and about with your MP3 player!

As I have these, I can confirm that it does come with the adapter required to plug into a guitar amp.

i had these and i would recommend them. just dont get your mates to pull in the wire!

I bought these for a similar price over a year ago, and they've lasted me well.

Not quite sure why, Just edited it and it's working again now :)

These may be decent quality headphones but wired..... no thanks! You'd be much better off spending a bit more and getting wireless. Wired mouse or keyboard is fine because the cable doesn't get tangled in your arms every time you move your head. Wired headphones are so annoying.

Yeah not just the packaging either. I had 1 or 2 DVDs turn up unsealed & with light marks on the discs too :x

Hot deal BTW!!

These are pretty good headphones and cheap at that price. I use them in my home recording studio and for some people the bass might not be enough but for me I think they provide a nice balanced tone making them nice cheap reference and multi-purpose headphones.

For my purposes I'd go wired over wireless everytime.

Cheers for the find. Rep added.

shame I cant use HMV vouchers online. Such a ridiculous condition

Excellent Headphones, I paid alot more than so hot from me

heat added.. great deal.

I wouldn't recommend these tbh.
I bought them for around that price last year but I was disappointed and expected better from Sennheiser. They look good and are comfortable but the sound is a bit flat and hollow for me.

they might sound a bit 'flat' without an amp.

They need an amp in most cases to get the best from them. They have serious bass with my imac but no use with the ipod (although they did sound reasonable on a newer model i tried - my old gen3 wasnt up to it). Basically they need the source to be able to provide decent power to them. Oddly when they are plugged directly into the imac they sound great but when plugged in through external speakers that are being used with the mac they sound a bit flatter.

Like dangermouse 500 I wasn't that impressed with the sound. They are definitely a sennheiser budget offering. I find the PX100s I have both more efficient and have superior sound. I've also broken these headphones already as the plastic is a bit weak I've had to glue them twice. They are good basic headphones though for the money but you can get much better headphones for a little more money.

ordered. hot :D
#31
Hot...use them everyday at school worth the money
#32
Use at work, would recommend for semi professional use. Might bag a pair myself at this price.
#33
If I didn't already have a pair of AKG K581DJs I'd be all over this, hawt.
#34
used to use one of these. While the clarity is great, the bass on these cans are pretty weak so don't buy if you're a basshead.
#35
I've had these for a while, great headphones.
#36
can i buy it in high st at the same price?
#37
Some questions for those who actually have the cans:

1. How's the soundstaging?

2. Would a portable amp (Cmoy) suffice?

3. How bad/good is the noise?

Cheers! :)

ps: Yes I can google/HeadFi/etc, but my connection is acting up just now, so I'd rather just ask here.

I bought these to replace some 10 year old Sennheisers which were £80 new but had finally fallen apart. These compare really well with my old headphones and after a bit of 'running in' the sound really came into it's own. That said I couldn't undersatnd why I got a creaking noise everytime I moved my head. After a couple of days being driven mad I realised the arms on my glasses were rubbing against the padding on the earpieces. Slid my glasses up, problem solved.

Got these for £10 on Amazon (indigo starfish) just before xmas. They're quite good, although as mentioned, they are lacking in bass and the volume output could be a tad higher.
