Have been looking for a decent 'budget' pair of closed headphones recently and these have picked up some interest. Have run some brief searches and Amazon look to currently have them the cheapest, with free delivery.

I've not been running infinite searches on every single electronics retailer so please if they are cheaper elsewhere do share the wealth. As an added bonus you get to deliver a sickening blow to me when I realise I could have saved some £'s!

Reviews look pretty solid on Amazon with 78 out off 88 rating them 4 Star+.

The Sennheiser came in second place when I looked for headphones last Christmas. I went for my first choice Koss PortaPro for (then) £17.99. Now they are about £20 with postage. I listen to a lot of classical music and Opera and I must say they are the best sound I've heard so far through even more expensive studio headphones. The only problem is most people find them ugly but I don't care. If you only want booming bass and dynamic heights go for the Sennheiser, but if you want the wide range sound of an orchestra and clear sound of an opera voice, consider the Koss PortaPro.

I've never been a believer in expensive headphones until I bought this last year (it was also on offer on Amazon for nearly the same price).

I use this to listen to music, mostly black and melodic metal, and they are the ones to have. I also bought another Sennheiser pair that I use with my Roland electronic drums kit (the ones I'm wearing in this video). The HD202 are slightly better though and for this price you get a lot for your money. I don't know how they do it, there must be multiple speakers in these.

Never heard of him but I listened to 'Sugar Coated Sour' just now. He's quite good but this is not my kind of music.

I'm going to cover Amon Amarth soon, if you're interested please subscribe to my youtube channel. Thanks for the interest :-)

Thanks for the added feedback folks.
Should have these very soon and can find out for myself. I too have been sceptical paying anything over a tenner for headphones in the past - I guess curiosity breaks us all eventually.

A bargain would have been had you bought them elsewhere for 14.53, which you may have been able to but some clever moderator ('sigma') banned me when I tried to post that.

There were three identical 'deals' about the amazon going for 18.00, in one of them a poster called something like 'Blunny' pointed out that 17.99 wasn't the cheapest. His post has been deleted, and so were all of mine trying to tell people in the other threads to get the better deal.

It seems bizarre that a site about having the best deals, would actively delete messages from people who know about better deals. So I feel sorry for everyone who has blindly gone out and bought the more expensive deal, but you can thank Sigma for it.

This deals expired - hope people were smart and got them for 14.53 from the other Amazon seller rather than the less good deal at 17.99. You should always do your own searches and confirm that something is the best.
