Amazon are selling Sennheiser HD200s for £54.99. However, the picture shown is actually a pair of Sennheiser HD600s. Amazon sell the HD600s for over £150, as these are awsome headphones.

So, either Amazon have put the wrong picture with the product description or vice versa. If you buy these and it is the HD200s you recieve, you can send them back as per Amazon returns policy. However, if you get HD600s, then this is truely a hot deal. I can't get link to picture to work, but you should see what I mean when you click on link. I've ordered mine and await delivery.

If similar thing has happened in the past, I would be obliged if people could comment on it and indicate which was this will go i.e. deal or no deal!

I'm stil relatively new at posting so I hope this mislist/ misprice is postable.

I'm not sure if this could even be described as a mis price. To me a mis price would be if they were selling Seinheiser 600's for the blatantly wrong price of £54.99. However selling SeinHeiser 200's for £54.99 with the wrong pic... i can't see how you could ever expect their dispatch department to reach into the store and give you a set of 600s when his dispatch note will say 200's

BUT, maybe more experienced (or optimistic?) amazon deal spotters will advise differently?

fair point, I've just got no idea, but lots of hope!!!

Can't see you getting them, Amazon despatch is completely automated!

Going by the product weight, these are 2 different products; it looks like amazon put the wrong image for the item.

mmm, I see the potential obstacles. If I get them though, I'll spread the word

Maybe i'm just getting too cynical in my old age

Seems a bit shaky to me. It is most likely just the wrong image and thus the listing/specs/etc are all correct for the HD200's.

amazon will have somewhere in their T&C's 'images are for illustration purposes only'.

I strongly suggest you remove this deal as it is misleading.
#9
can anyone say what amazon have done in the past in similar situation?
[admin]#10
Even in situations where it is a real misprice - i.e. the correct description, item number and so forth they have the right to decline the orders and generally do so (with some nice exceptions). In this case it does not really class as a misprice as you are getting the product described and I would be very surprised to see the HD600's come through. In terms of obligation to send the item in the image they have no obligation to do so.

mmm, good point. Perhaps as rash suggests, this deal ought to be withdrawn. I can't see an option for me to do that. If this is best perhaps mod or admin would do it and I'll keep searching.

You could click on 'Spam' or 'Expired'. If enough people do it, the post will vanish into cyberspace.:whistling:
