At the top of the Sennheiser IE range are the IE80s. Superb in-ear portable earphones with a staggering adjustable bass performance, clear mid-range and a precise and detailed treble.

With their sleek design which also ensures a snug and comfortable fit, adjustable bass response, and replaceable cable, these are stunning earphones which will really do justice to your iPod or MP3 player, especially when using uncompressed or lossless formats.

Fantastic sound quality

I really like my sub-bass heavy Sony XB90 but really wanted to try the IE80, looking forward to receiving them on Monday. These are getting paired with my trusty little Sansa Clip+ for the gym.

Similar deal also available on Amazon, Prime members only however and they are showing black out of stock with white available only. (Didn't even know white IE80 are a thing!?)

these are brilliant, had mine for roughly 3 years now and they sound even better now than when I first wore them. fantastic detail in audio, hugely expensive but I'd still highly recommend them at full retail, so £130~ is a superb price.

would you recommend these over an over ear headphone ? like the 2nd gen momentums for example ? I'm not really bothered about size just sound quality.

I ordered a pair yesterday. Got Flubit to create an offer (use Amazon or John Lewis if you're an elite customer) and they saved me an extra £15. Also run your order through Quidco for 11% cashback. After cashback they should have cost me around £107.

As a general rule IEM's (in ears) will always sound better than on ears so if you're after pure sound quality go down this route. I have some pretty good on ears e.g. B&W P7 / fidelio X1 / B&O H8 and these beat them for sound

Agree with marcus, IEM's definitely sound better, though I do LOVE the B&O H8's too! I'm not that big a fan of the Momentum's if I'm perfectly honest. My audio preference is more neutral like the B&O Beoplay range / Sennheiser IE80
